How to use VCV Rack Explanation of Befaco Spring Reverb

This is yosi from Chillout with Beats.

VCV RackThis is a description of the module Befaco Spring Reverb.

the price isAssembled is 296,00 €,DIY kit for 175,45 €.

It's quite expensive.

When I watched the video, it was a real spring reverb.
Well, I wonder if my senses are paralyzed because I'm just looking at plug-ins.

Even so, it sounds attractive.

I want the real thing, not the virtual one (swamp!)

As is familiar every time, there is a way to display Japanese subtitles.

What is VCV Rack Befaco Spring Reverb?

2019 07 12 23x52 28

This is a versatile implementation for driving spring tanks.
It has two voltage control inputs, one is routed straight
To the tank another dry / wet and to the tank. MIX voltage control is also possible.
There are two outputs. With MIX (IN2 + reverb tank output)
WET (just reverb out) output. This makes it flexible.
A topology that allows external feedback, controls the amount of signal entering the tank, or uses an input VCA to control the mixing of signals in the tank.

1.IN1 This input signal is sent to both the mix tank and the reverb tank. The amount of signal sent to the tank is controlled by Slider_IN1.

2.IN1 Slider Controls the amount of signal sent to the IN1 VCA level tank. This slider acts as an attenuator for this signal when the CV is at IN1_CV.

3. IN1CV Input 1 VCA CV control.

4.IN2 This input signal is sent to the reverb tank as it is.The amount of signal sent is controlled by slider IN 2.

5.VCA level of IN2 Controls the amount of signal sent to the tank. When aCV is at IN2_CV, this slider acts as an attenuator for this signal.

6. IN2CV Input 2 VCA CV control.

7.HPFs The audio sent to the tank passes through a high pass filter. This potentiometer controls the filter cutoff. There is no filter at the minimum setting. Its purpose is to prevent tank saturation at low frequencies.

8.PEAK METER Shows the amount of signal supplied to the tank.Optimal level of green, high amplitude of orange, and saturation of red tank.

9.WET Direct output from the reverb tank

10. VU METER The level of the audio signal coming out of the tank.It is recommended to keep this level below red to avoid saturation.

11. DRY WET POT Classic DRY / WET control. It is a mix of the signal present in IN1 and the output of the tank.

12.MIX CV CV control for DRY / WET pots. This signal is added to the potentiometer settings.

13.MIXAudio output of the mix.

How to use VCV Rack Befaco Spring Reverb

I don't think there is any way to use it, but I played with it for a while.

Until now, I had no idea to use an LFO for reverb. (Evidence that your head is stiff ...)

You can get a very interesting effect.

It's AM, but it's also interesting that the sound changes only with the reverb MIX and WET.

wiring

Wiring is very simple.

Just add SEQ to the initial synth modules and put the Spring Reverb in the Mixer Out.

In the middle of the video, the OUT of the LFO is swapped with IN1 CV and IN2 CV.

11. It feels better to shake off all DRY WET POT to WET.

Summary of VCV Rack Befaco Spring Reverb

I thought it would be a Spring Reverb and an article, but it was an unexpected harvest.

It is a scale from the eyes that there was such a usage.

I've never seen an ordinary plug-in hang an LFO.
(I tried googled a little, but I couldn't find it.)

Although not shown in the video, the sound of the LFO and other than the sine wave changes considerably.

Please give it a try.

It's really good to be modular.
