How to replace the drum loop Kick in FL Studio XNUMX (free edition)

I will explain how to replace the Kick of the drum loop with the plug-in that comes with FL Studio.
(Because I've been pushing for Kick plugins lately)

In the free version, if you have FL Studio, you can do it only with the FL Studio plug-in.

In the paid edition, we will explain how to use a commercially available plug-in.

I say Kick for the sake of clarity, but Snare and Hihat can also be replaced.
(It's troublesome because there are more than Kick)

The free edition will introduce the following two methods.

・ Replace Kick with Slicex 1 (this article)
-Replace Kick with Slicex 2

Replace Kick with Slicex

When replacing Kick using Slicex, replace the sliced Kick part with another Kick sample.

First, start Slicex and load the appropriate drum loop.

First of all, it is necessary to match the length of the sample in order to replace it.

Then right-click on the red frame in the figure below and select "Minuts: Second: Milisecond".

Find the location of Kick.

In most cases, it is the very first, so I will explain it as an example.

Select the first slice.

The start and end positions of the slice are displayed.

Remember the number from right to left.

Here the start is 0, so 149-0 = 149.

This time, replace it with the Kick that is loaded in FL Studio from the beginning.

Drag the red frame part in the above figure to the red frame part in the lower figure Ctrl Hold down and drop.

Ctrl If you do not press, it will be read normally.

A dialog will be displayed. Enter the measured "149" in "length" and click "Accept".

This completes the replacement of one Kick.

I prepared a video.

After that, replace other Kick in the same way.

The figure below shows the next sample position.

In the case of pieces, we know that 1500-1321 = 179.

When I worked in the same way, it looked like this.

The place where Kick enters twice in a row is replaced only once.

It was originally a Lo-Fi loop, so there was noise.

However, since the Kick part has been replaced, it's good to feel like a side chain.

The original loop looks like this.

It's a little annoying if you have a lot of Kick, but it feels good.

If you have FL Studio, you can do various things.

I will use Slicex again next time, but I will explain how to replace Kick differently from this time.
