Personally, I prefer slicing and sorting on Playlists rather than Slicex.

It's hard to tell which sound is which in Slicex, but in the case of drums, it's easy to edit because you can roughly predict it while looking at the waveform.

Slice the sample in FL Studio

There are two main ways to slice a sample on a "Playlist".

This area is different from the purpose of this time, so I will go quickly.

1. Use the Slice Tool

"Slice Tool" is one of "Playlist Controls" on the upper left of "Playlist".

This "Playlist Controls" can also be displayed in F3.

The "Slice Tool" will slice the sample to fit the grid.

At this time, if "Z-CROSS" in the upper left is enabled, clip noise will be less likely to occur.

The disadvantage is that it may be slightly off the grid.

In the video below, "Z-CROSS" is enabled, so when slicing the waveform on the right side, it is sliced ​​slightly off the grid.

2. Use the "Chop" function

It's a very simple feature, but it's very useful.

On "Audio Clips" Shift + You can slide the sample with the mouse wheel.

This is really convenient and quite easy to fine-tune.

You can easily create various patterns just by "Chop" and shifting them appropriately.

I like that it can be treated as the same track even when using "Make unique" because it's easy to edit.
