How to use FL Studio How to create a groove feeling from solid printing

FL Studio has a swing function, but I don't use that function.
Use the Groove Quantize function.
And I will explain how to utilize an external Groove file together.
The Snacks From Mars I introduced yesterday has a groove, so I will explain using it.
How to use the Groove Quantize function
Sample preparation
I will explain using a drum loop where the first effect is easy to understand.
Here, we will use the sample that you can get for free with Loopcloud.
(If you just want to know how to do it, please put a suitable sample in SliceX)
If you haven't installed Loopcloud, please take this opportunity.

First, start Loopcloud and SliceX in FL Studio.
Try searching for the keyword "PrB0060_FLiNT" in Loopcloud.
You will find one as follows.
Drag and drop from Loopcloud to FL Studio.
How to apply Groove Quantize
Open the piano roll.
Click "Tools"-> "Quantize" from ▼ on the upper left (shortcut is Alt + Q）
Click ▼ and click "16_amen".
If you press the space key in this state, it will be played, so adjust it.
There are various presets from the beginning, so please try them.
Quantizer parameters
Start time – Mixes the original start time of the note (turned left) with the quantized start time (turned right).
Sensitivity – Sets the snap sensitivity.Turn the knob to the right to increase sensitivity.
Duration – Mixes the original duration of the note (turn left) with the quantized duration (turn right).
In Quantize End Time mode (see below), this knob mixes the end time position.
Quantize mode options – Select Quantize mode options.The start time is quantized in all modes.
Leave duration – Preserves the original note length after snapping the note start time.
Leave end time – Keeps the original end time of the note.
Quantize duration – Quantizes note length according to a snap grid.
Quantize end time – Snaps the end time of the note to the snap grid.
Levels knobs – These controls allow you to mix the properties of the original note (turn left) with the properties used in the groove presets (turn right).
Load an external Groove Quantize
Actually, I can open the MIDI file as it is from Quantizer, but I can't.
Read an external MIDI file (Groove Quantize) and convert it to an fsc file so that it can be used from Quantizer.
Convert MIDI files to fsc files
The Snacks From Mars I introduced yesterday has a groove, so I will explain using it.
Open "Grooves"-> "MPC 2000 Snacks From Mars"-> "Midi" in the unzipped.
It contains a MIDI file like this.
Drag and drop this MIDI file into FL Studio's "Channel Rack".
The place to drop is important.
Please note that the behavior will be different except for "Channel Rack".
Check the storage location of Groove Quantize
Before saving, check the save destination of Groove Quantize in FL Studio.
Open the piano roll and click "Tools"-> "Quantize" from the ▼ on the upper left.
(Shortcut is Alt + Q）
Click the folder icon.
Copy the Path at the top. ,
Save as fsc file
Open the piano roll and click "File"-> "Save score as" from the ▼ on the upper left.
Paste the Path you just copied and open the location where you want to save Groove Quantize.
After that, give it a name and save it.
(Saved as "MPC 2000 16")
On the piano roll Alt + Q Let's open and check with.
It was confirmed that "MPC 2000 16" is in "Grooves".
It's hard to repeat this, so if you have a lot, the following method is easier.
How to convert MIDI files to fsc files at once
Export as a Project Born file
If you have one or two, the above method is fine, but if you have a large amount, it is troublesome.
The solution is to export the Song file with all the MIDI files read as "Project born file".
Using this method, each pattern is saved as an fsc file in the Score folder.
I will actually do it.
In the same way as before, this time drag and drop multiple MIDI files to FL Studio's "Channel Rack".
Click "File"-> "Export"-> "Project bornes…" in the menu to save it to any location.
There is "Score" in the output folder.
The pattern is stored in this as an fsc file.
After that, if you put these files in Groove Quantize, you can easily call them from Quantizer.
Please note that the name of the fsc file is the loaded "Pattern" + pattern number + "Sampler" + number.
Example) When a MIDI file is read into pattern 1 and exported, it will be as follows.
(If the number increases, a number will be added after Sampler.)
Pattern 1 – Sampler_2.fsc
Pattern 1 – Sampler_3.fsc
It's a bad name, so the only realistic solution is to rename it after printing it.
If you have Excel etc., you can easily do it by using VBA.

It's a bit of a hassle, but if you've been rubbish just by using loop material, please give it a try.
I think that the impression will change very much if the accent and timing change a little.
