How to use FL Studio How to make sounds that can be used for Lo-Fi Hip Hop (with sound source)
I'm yosi, the maintainer of Chillout with Beats.
This time, I will introduce how to improve the Lo-Fi feeling of the one-shot sample sound source by applying the method of the following video.
This method is meaningless unless it is a one-shot sampled from the actual hardware.
(To increase the noise of riding on the hardware and improve the Lo-Fi feeling)
The finished product looks like this.
The first half is a plain sample, and the second half is a processed sample.
I think the feeling of noise is completely different.
It looks like this when used as a song.
Except for the drums, I use samples made in the same way.
The sample is from a multisample distributed on Reverb.com.
The main riff is the recommended tape delay emuEchorecI'm using.
Let's actually make it.
Improve the Lo-Fi feeling of the one-shot sample sound source
The first thing to do is to use Edison to reduce the fundamental and harmonic parts of the sound and increase the noise component.
Samples from reverb.comCZ1000 Synth Collection CasioI will explain using "CZ1000 Flute_C3" in.
If you want to do it, you may do the same processing for all multisamples and load it into Kontakt etc.
First, load "CZ1000 Flute_C3" into Edison from the multi-sample.
The sound you choose should be close to the pitch used in the main.
Click the equalizer icon in the upper right.
Click "Filter unharmonics – normal" from the top left of the dialog that opens next.
This will filter all but the fundamental and harmonic.
If you move the "Freq scale" above, you can see that it is well filtered.
Next, click ▼ at the bottom left and click "Scale Level".
Adjust the level so that the fundamental and harmonics are masked, as opposed to the previous one.
After that, adjust "Mix" to adjust how much noise is increased and click "Accept".
If "Mix" is 100%, it will be completely noisy, so I think 90% is good.
If this is left as it is, the volume will be low, so select "Normalize" from the spanner icon. (Or Ctrl + N)
Drag it to the Sampler that comes with FL Studio.
After that, change the ADSR settings.
You can just change the Attack to the extent that it sounds normally.
The rest is even more freeCHOWTapeModelIf you apply a Lo-Fi effect like this, it will look like this.

This is also pretty good.
I think it's more realistic and effective than applying bad effects.
It may be better to play with FL Studio's Sampler than to do all the multisamples.
