How to use HY-Plugins' multi-sample slicer plugin HY-Slicer2③
This is my second time using HY-Slicer2.
This time it's a little simple, but it's how to use Slicer.
In this how-to series, we plan to explain the following:
(Subject to change during the process)
-How to use “Sampler” and “TrackFX”
・How to use “Slicer” (this article)
・How to use “Step FX” and “Multi FX”
・How to use “Grid SEQ”
・How to control patterns using MIDI from your DAW
You can purchase it below.
The following article will be updated during the sale. (Discount coupon has been issued)
How to use “Slicer”
"Slicer" is a tool that only slices. Once sliced, drag and drop it to "Grid SEQ" and it will sound according to the settings of "Sampler".
The point is that the relationship with "Slicer" is broken when you drag and drop from "Slicer".
Therefore, even if you later change the slice point of the sample using "Slicer", it will not affect the slice you drag and drop.
In the video below, after slicing, drag and drop to "Grid SEQ" to change the slice range.
After changing, the range that is played does not change even if you play back.
If you update the drag-and-dropped slice, the changed range will be applied.
How to slice a sample
There are 8 "Slicers", and if you drag and drop a sample, it will slice it automatically.
There is no way to slice slices other than automatically slicing them, other than moving them manually.
(There is no function to adjust peak detection accuracy and slice)
This is where the specifications differ from normal slice plug-ins.
This is a bit of a shame, but personally, it doesn't bother me because it's more like a waveform editing software than a slicer.
You can move the slice point by dragging it.
We have prepared a video. (no sound)
How to preview slices
You can preview a slice by clicking on it.
How to add or delete slice points
When adding a slice point, a white dotted line will appear when you place the mouse cursor on a different colored part of the top of the waveform.
Click the white dotted line to add a slice point at that position.
To delete a slice point, right-click the black part at the top of the slice point.
How to zoom and zoom out (scaling)
To zoom in or out of the sample, drag the bottom of the sample up or down.
Drag up to zoom, and drag down to zoom out.
Drag left or right to move the display position left or right.
I prepared a video.
Summary
It feels more like waveform editing software than Slicer.
Next time, I will write about how to use "Step FX", "Multi FX", and "Grid SEQ".
