How to make text speak in WaveTable of Xfer Records Serum

It is better to use it as a texture rather than to make it speak firmly.

Enter text in Serum's WaveTable to speak

It's very easy to do.

First, click "init Preset" from "Menu" on the upper left to initialize the preset.

Click the "OSC A" pencil icon.

Enter the word to speak in "(enter formula)".

Here, enter "" i am a robot "" and press the enter key.

If WaveTable is generated as below, it is successful.

After that, set to move WaveTable.

Close the editor with the "X" button in the upper right corner to display the Serum screen.

Here, we will use an LFO to move the WaveTable.

First, set in the default state.

It's easy to do, the cursor next to "LFO 1"?Just drag and drag and drop to "WT POS".

If you want to change the speed at which the WaveTable is moved, change the "RATE".

The default is 1/4, so it's a quarter note. (One of the four-on-the-floor)

If you want to play "i am a robot" once in one bar, change it to "1 Bar" *.

* This is because the default is ▲, so if it is "1Bar", it will be played back.

The pitch of the sound that sounds like that varies depending on the word, so try different pitches.

Check the change in sound due to the difference in Process

I would like you to give it a try, and if you use "Process", the sound will change in various ways.

For example, applying "X-Fade Edges (16 samples)" will make the sound a little smoother.

Applying "X-Fade Edges (grid size)" makes the sound look like the bass is added.

Let's try it with Undo when trying various things.

Especially, "Create PWM from this table to all" has an interesting effect.
