Experiment version that performs different processing with MID / SIDE with Patcher of FL Studio

I'm yosi, the caretaker of Chillout with Beats.

Please refer to this article for how to use MID / SIDE.

EQ is normal in MID / SIDE, but I don't think I'll see anything else, so let's try various things.

If you have a patcher, you can just insert it instead of EQ.

The point to note is that if you make it monaural, you will not hear the effect, so if you consider listening in mono, you need to take some measures. (If you put chorus etc. at the end of SIDE, it will be relaxed a little)

Try multiplying SIDE with Gross Beat

I tried inserting Gross Beat.

Since the effect of Gross Beat is applied only to the stereo component, it has a modest but strong presence.

At the end, I also confirmed that the effect disappears by making it monaural.

Taking advantage of this effect, it seems that you can make a song that has a different atmosphere because you listen in monaural and in stereo. (It seems to be compatible with IDM genres)

Try multiplying SIDE by Vocodex

This time I tried inserting Vocodex.

It's not bad, but it's not cool.

Try filtering SIDE

I'm using my favorite RX950 here.

Only SIDE has a low-pass filter applied.

Measures to prevent the effect from disappearing even in monaural

In short, if you shake it with a chorus, it won't disappear.

Unfortunately, doing so will reduce the sharpness.

I will try to find out if there is any other way.

Summary of experiments that perform different processing with MID / SIDE with Patcher of FL Studio

I felt a little uncomfortable when I did various things with headphones.

In conclusion, it is good to do it partially, but it is better to avoid multiplying it as a whole.
(Because there are some problems that cannot be heard if it is monaural)

I felt that it would be nice to have a change if I used it a little before the break or drop.

Personally, I felt that Gross Beat was the best.
