Make a MID / SIDE EQ with FL Studio Patcher
I'm yosi, the caretaker of Chillout with Beats.
There is a plug-in that can EQ with MID / SIDE, but you can use Patcher to apply EQ to MID / SIDE individually.
If you understand English, please watch the video below.
I actually tried it.
The base and pad are EQed separately with MID / SIDE.
MID cuts and boosts with SIDE.
How to set MID / SIDE EQ with Patcher
For the time being, let's try using FL Studio's standard "Fruity Parametric EQ 2".
First, load Patcher into the mixer.
Next, load two "Fruity Stereo Shaper" and "Fruity Parametric EQ 2" in Patcher.
Increase the Output of the "Fruity Stereo Shaper" before wiring.
First, right-click on "Fruity Stereo Shaper" and click "Output"-> "Audio"-> "2. Sebd 1".
Double-click "Fruity Stereo Shaper" to display the GUI.
Load "Mixing"-> "Mid – a Side Splitter" from the preset.
By default, the sidechain input (IN / OUT DIFFERENCE) is "2", so change it to "1".
After that, just wire as shown in the figure below and you're done.
SIDE is output from the newly added Out.
Also, it is normal that the spectrum analyzer is not displayed in the EQ on the SIDE side.
It's not a bug, but it may be managed in a future update.
Summary of making MID / SIDE EQ with Patcher of FL Studio
I did it with the EQ of FL Studio, but of course you can do it with other EQs, so if you have a favorite EQ that does not support MID / SIDE EQ, please try it.
It can be saved as a patcher file, so it's easy to call and some changes are easy.
Comment
Doesn't EQ2 reflect the side sound (the story of the guy who shines at the monitor frequency)?
It functions as an equalizer.
It is the same symptom when side-chaining with Insert and dividing MS.
Is it a bug?
It's more like an unsupported bug than a bug.
The EQ2 spectrum analyzer does not seem to support MID / Side.
The support person says that MID / Side is not supported even on the FL bulletin board, but it seems that it is not supported.

Thank you, I was relieved!
I'm a fan of Patcher articles and look forward to updates :)
Thank you very much.
How timely.
The article to be released tomorrow at 7 o'clock is an article of Patcher, so please read it.
