Macro-oscillator (Braids)
I think the feature is that it is equipped with more than 40 types of oscillator models.
From classics such as CS-80 to digital oscillator models such as Wavetable.

A: LED display and rotary encoder. The LED shows the oscillator model that is enabled.
B, C: Fine and Coarse are pitch changes. Fine moves the knob to the maximum and it is a semitone change.
D: FM (frequency modulation). You can adjust the amount of modulation with the CV input of ③.
E: Timbar can control the tone.Depending on the oscillator model, for example Square Wave, you can change the pulse width. Modulation is applied in ④.
F: You can adjust the amount of modulation when modulation is applied with ④.
G: Color is a knob that controls the 2D of the sound.This also depends on the synth mode, but it seems that the symmetry of the oscillator changes. (When looking at the oscilloscope, the movement differs considerably depending on the oscillator model.)

Macro-oscillator2 (Plaits)

The Macro-oscillator has already been discontinued, and this Macro-oscillator 2 is the successor model.
However, it is not something like Mk2, it seems that it was remade from scratch.
Although it looks simple, it is easier to operate than the previous model and can produce more complicated sounds.
The oscillator models, which were more than 40 in the previous model, have been consolidated into 16 oscillator models.
If you don't read the manual, you'll be fooled by the simple appearance.
It's pretty packed into this little module and the manual is a must read.
A. Oscillator model select button.There are 8 models on the left and right, with synth sounds on the left and noise and percussive sounds on the right.Although it was not possible with the previous model, ① has made it possible to continuously change the oscillator model like Wavetable.
B.CoarseKnob.The default is 8 octaves.It seems that the change width can be adjusted up to 14 semitones at the minimum, but the method is unknown because the operation of pressing A described in the manual cannot be performed by the software. (There is no corresponding item even if you right-click)
CDE Tone control knob.The behavior is different for each oscillator model, but usuallyDOORBELLIs a tone control from dark / sparse tones to bright / dense.MORPHIs a horizontal tone control.HARMONICS Can control the frequency spread. The far right of ② isHARMONICS CV input.

⑦ is AUX, and what is output depends on the oscillator model.The output content changes completely depending on whether it is a sub-oscillator, lo-fi, or a variation of the code.
