Overview of Dark Seq
This sequencer mode is inspired by Doepfer's Dark Time sequencer.
He was inspired by DOEPFER's Dark Time 16-step analog sequencer.

I don't know what the specifications of Dark Time itself are, but "Dark Seq" is divided into groups of XNUMX to XNUMX steps and XNUMX to XNUMX steps, and you can set the direction and octave of the sequence for each group.

The direction in which the sequence advances.
>: The sequence advances in the direction of travel. : 1> 2> 3> 4

② Octave
You can set different octave values for the upper and lower rows.
③ Shuffle
It is a shuffle function.
I tried it with the same sound.
④ P-Shift: Shift of the output pitch value of the sequencer
Since the unit is semitone, + -12 is one octave up and down.
You can control the overall pitch.
⑤ Velo: Output velocity level
You can adjust the velocity when outputting with a sound source that supports velocity.
⑥ Gate: Gate time factor 0-100
You can set the length of Decay.
This makes a considerable difference in effectiveness depending on the tone.
I tried it with a tone that makes it easy to understand the effect.
⑦ Knob Range
Set the octave range of the pitch of all steps (1 to 5 octaves)
⑧ Reset: Set the reset count of the sequencer.After this count, the sequencer resumes from the first step.

The maximum is 1024, which is the number of steps.

② Main Panel Parameters
① Step pitch (13 semitones)
Determines the pitch of the steps.
If you are using the MIDI effect Scaler, the Scaler setting will affect the step pitch.
If you use "Scaler", it will be forcibly changed to the sound of the scale.
You can also change the root note.
② Step button 1
Set the action to skip the step if it is not triggered.
On: Triggered
Off: Not triggered
Skip: The step is skipped
"Off" goes through a step, while "Skip" skips that step, reducing the total number of steps in the sequence.
③ Step button 2
Cont (Continue): Sequencer works fine
Jump: If there is one "Jump", it will return to the first sequence, and if there are multiple "Jump", the first will be the start sequence and the second will be the end sequence.
Stop: The sequencer stops at this step

When "Jump" is one
The "Jump" step returns to the first sequence.
When there are two "Jump"
The first "Jump" is the start step of the sequence, and the second "Jump" is the end step of the sequence.
When "Jump" is XNUMX or more
If there are XNUMX or more "Jump", only the beginning and the end are valid and the middle is ignored.
Summary
This sequencer may be interesting to use with something modular.
However, I feel a little lonely that I can't use glide (slur).
However, it's great to be able to apply random in the first half and the second half separately.
(And if you shake it with an LFO, you can keep it ringing semi-randomly)
