How to make Cthulhu sound
Cthulhu can make a sound without using other VST if it just makes a quick sound.
You can switch between ON and OFF with the speaker icon on the upper left.
On the contrary, if it is the default, the built-in sound will remain output, so let's turn it off after setting the MIDI routing.
(I used to waste time because it kept ringing and something was wrong ...)
This is the same as all MIDI VSTs.
Cthulhu settings
Set "Output port" to "0" from the gear icon.

Now when you play it in Cthulhu, Vital will make a sound.
How to add Cthulhu presets
I will explain how to add it after getting the preset.
Angelic vibes' "Free Cthulhu Chords" is distributed free of charge.

First, start Cthulhu and click "Show Cthulhu Presets Folder" from the gear icon on the upper right.
The presets folder opens.
The place to put the above preset is in "Chord".
(In the case of ARP, in Arp)
You'll want to put it in "Presets" ... but that was wrong and I used to get stuck.
After that, restart Cthulhu and the Chord presets will be loaded.

The ARP preset uses First APP.
How to switch between Cthulhu Chord and ARP
I'm ashamed to say that when I bought Cthulhu, I tried various things and I can't use this!I thought.
The main reason is that I chose a preset that has the ARP function always on and is in CHROD mode.
When using like Ripchord, it is easier to use if the ARP function is turned off.
To turn off the ARP function, click ARP at the top of the screen to turn off the green light.
Now you have only the code.
If only the ARP function is turned on, ARP will work for the chords entered in the piano roll.

Captain Melody relies on a plugin called Captain Chords.
So, first you need to set the chord progression of the song you are currently making in Captain Chords.
You can also make chord progressions with Captain Chords, but it's not easy to use because it's a fairly basic function.
However, since it supports MIDI reading, you can create and read chord progressions with other chord support tools.I'm taking this approach.
After setting the code, launch Captain Melody.
There are many ways to make it, but I record the rhythm of the melody by pressing the REC button as in the video.
After that, use the function to fix the rhythm and randomize it until it feels good.
At this time, like the PhraseBox, you can set the items you want to randomize in detail, such as the probability that the seven sounds that make up the key scale will be generated, so it's easy to get the feeling you want.
Of course, you can randomize the rhythm, but if the rhythm doesn't match the song, it tends to look strange, so it's better to enter it yourself.
It's good to fix this rhythm and randomize it, for example, you can create a completely different melody using a MIDI bundle or something you like the rhythm of other songs.
It also supports reading MIDI, so it's easy to divert.
If you don't like the features of this Captain Melody, you don't have to buy it. It's really hard to use except Captain Melody
I used Orb Producer Suite instead because the code generation of Captain Plugins is not good, but if Cthulhu feels good, I think I should switch.
The Orb Producer Suite has a strong sense of entrustment, so it's hard to get the feeling you're aiming for as Captain Melody.
I think the Orb Producer Suite is a plug-in that you should buy if you feel like it, so if you're in trouble, you don't have to buy it.
I think it's hard to understand in some places because I wrote it down, but I didn't want you to think that I bought it and was deceived, so I raised my dissatisfaction.
