Explanation of MIDI mode
Since it is necessary to make settings in order to use MIDI mode, we will explain the settings first.
There are three types of MIDI modes:
・ Octaves
・ Harmonize
MIDI mode settings
Load "MIDI Out".
If you are not using "MIDI Out", the default is fine.
(If you are using it, change the "Port" number)
Next, open "Pitcher", click ① "MIDI", and ② drag "MIDI Input Port Number" to "0".
(If "MIDI Out" is set to something other than "0", match that number.)
This completes the MIDI mode settings.
MIDI
MIDI notes scale the input audio to the sound in the detected octave.
"MIDI" is a MIDI note that forces the pitch to that pitch.
(However, within the same octave as the detected pitch)
This is effective when you want to change the melody itself or use it as a vocal effect.
"MIDI" is monophonic. (Single note only)
If you open the piano roll of "MIDI Out" and type in a note, it will be played at the exact pitch to some extent. (There is a specification that the octave shifts)
You can adjust the time until the pitch is adjusted with the "SPEED" knob.
octaves
MIDI notes scale the input audio to the notes and octaves played.
As with "MIDI", the pitch is determined by MIDI notes, but it is an octave higher.
All you have to do is click "OCTAVE" from the "MIDI" settings to enable it.
As with "MIDI", the pitch is determined by the MIDI note of "MIDI Out".
"OCTAVE" is monophonic. (Single note only)
I tried to ring it.
It is difficult to use as it is, so if you adjust "MIX LEVEL" on the upper right, you can mix it with the original sound, so I think that it will be more useful. (Since there is no latency, it mixes naturally)
harmonize
Up to four MIDI notes can scale the input audio independently to the played note and octave.
You can harmonize up to 4 voices.
To enable it, click "HARMONIZE" to enable it.
(Disable "OCTAVE")
As with "MIDI", the pitch is determined by the MIDI note of "MIDI Out".
"HARMONIZE" is polyphonic. (Up to 4 sounds)
It is also possible to play a chord that has nothing to do with it.
You can change the left and right pans for each voice with "VOICE PANNING".
