Since there are many users of the free version of Nucleus, I will show you how to use Nucleus as an effect.
Using Nucleus as an effect is very easy, so here are some patch examples.

How to make a Filter effect
First, simply use it as a filter.
The DAW is based on FL Studio, but I think it will be the same for other DAWs.
Insert "Voltage Modular FX" into your DAW mixer.
Click to display the empty "Voltage Modular FX".
We will add Filter modules.

I will briefly explain the video.
When using it as an effect, you can make sound by connecting "AUDIO IN" and "MAIN OUTS".
Since "Filter" does not support stereo, prepare two and connect IN and OUT to complete.
If you do not move both knobs at this rate, the stereo will be out of balance.
This can be solved by assigning a parameter to "Perform".
Right-click on the knob you want to move and assign it to "Knob" in "Perform Assign"
It is also possible to assign multiple parameters to one knob.
In the video, "CUT OFF" and "RESONANCE" are assigned to "Knob 1" and "Knob 2".
This alone is an ordinary filter, so I will add some elements that are unique to modularity.

The easiest is the LFO.
I took a video.
It's very easy.However, the "mini LFO" does not have BPM synchronization, so it is not easy to use.

Next, in the advanced version, we will use the LFO and Sample and Hold to modulate the CUTOFF of the Filter.
When I was writing the article on VCV Rack, I wrote about Sample and Hold in detail, so if you are interested, please refer to the article.
Simply put, a value is taken step by step from the LFO waveform and kept until the next value is taken.
I prepared a video.The left is directly from the LFO and the right is the output of "Sample and Hold".
The "RATE" knob of "Sample and Hold" changes the interval at which values are taken.
(The faster it is, the closer it is to the original waveform)

It's very easy, but I think it will have some interesting effects.
Unfortunately, the free version doesn't allow BPM synchronization. (There is no Reset)
So next, I'll show you how to modulate the LFO in a sequence while synchronizing it to the BPM.
8-Step-Modify Filter CUTOFF with Sequencer
This is a little elaborate.
Since "8-Step-Sequencer" can specify BPM, it can be synchronized with DAW.
I've packed a lot into the video, so I'll add a little commentary.
Since you can specify the BPM with "RATE" of "8-Step-Sequencer", you can match it with your DAW, double it to double speed, or halve it to 2/1 speed.
Next, if you increase the value of "GLIDE" of "8-Step-Sequencer", the same thing as portamento will occur with the GATE signal.The point is that it does not change vertically to the next value, but rather gently.
After that, for example, 2Step is not required to repeat 8 patterns, so you can operate it easily by reducing "STEPS" of "8-Step-Sequencer". (Automation is also possible)
