How to use Voltage Modular Play with effects XNUMX
I'm yosi, the maintainer of Chillout with Beats.
The version of Voltage Modular has been upgraded, and I will write a little article again.
First, let's play with the effects of Voltage Modular.
This articleVoltage Modular Core is required.
Now free from NucleusApgre is cheap.
Apply an LFO that is not BPM synchronized to the Filter to create dynamic movement
Please listen to what it looks like for the time being.
You can do it with Nucleus, but the effect will be weaker because the LFO speed is slow.
I only use FLEX and Voltage Modular.
In the second half of the video, I'm doing the same thing with Gain in a Tremono-like pattern.
Method
Add a Filter and an LFO and connect as follows. (If you have a PSP, you can also use nitroSVF etc.)
I like which Filter Type to use, but this time I'm using bandpass.
I also like the LFO waveform, so please try it out.
This time, the LFO's "Frequency" knob is automated with a DAW.
Please refer to the following article for how to automate with DAW.
I tried it with nitro SVF for a moment.
Please listen around 1:40.It makes a little crazy sound.
I was surprised, but when I morphed the A and B filters, the pitch shook and it became a sound I had never heard.
How to use Voltage Modular Play with effects XNUMX Summary
After all, modular has a high degree of freedom in making sounds.
After that, you can see the signal flow, so I think it's easier to understand than a synth.
