I don't think it's been talked about much, but in version 1.8, AVENGER's copy protection became a key file.
It used to be Codemeter, but it was quite unpopular because it needed to be updated in about half a year.
I hate this and stopped using it before I knew it.
There was also an announcement that Cubase will be dongle-free, which is a good trend.
That's why I actually upgraded the version.

Uninstall CodeMeter
First, uninstall "CodeMeter" that you no longer need.
For Windows, click the "Windows" icon at the bottom left, then click the gear icon.
Click "Apps".
Click Code Meter and then click Uninstall.
(You can easily find it by entering "code" in the search window.)
The rest will proceed without permission.
This is the end of uninstallation.
Install AVENGER v1.8
Log in to "AVENGER ACCOUNT".
Download "V-Manage".
When you start it, you will be asked for your account, so log in.
Click "Download Installer" at the top of the screen to download the installer.
Click "Download Keyfile" in the upper right corner while downloading.
When the Keyfile is downloaded, the circle on the left side of "VPS AVENGER" will turn green.
This seems to complete the activation.
After the download is complete, you will be asked if you want to install it, so click "Yes" to install it.
After installing it, you will be asked to restart it at the end, so let's restart it. (I had a blue screen if I did it without restarting ...)
After restarting, try starting "VPS Avenger" from your DAW.
If the following screen is displayed, please check if the old version of "VPS Avenger" exists.
If you search the VST folder and find more than one, you may be able to solve it by deleting the old one.
