Introducing TugMidiSeq, a MIDI sequencer plugin for 2Rule
Today, I would like to introduce TugMidiSeq, a slightly unusual MIDI sequencer plug-in by 2Rule.
TugMidiSeq is a sequencer that decomposes chord sounds.
This is very interesting.
As a mechanism, it is the same type as Phrasebox.
If you enter a chord with a MIDI note, the grid will determine which number of the constituent notes to play.
Sound demo
I tried playing the preset.
I made a video of playing the chord normally and then playing it with TugMidiSeq.
The sound source is "Phase Plant".
First is the code as is, then TugMidiSeq.
It's good~
Add drums and apply effects, and it's a quick change like this.
Overview
2RuleMidiSeq ( TugMidiSeq ) is a polyphonic arp and seq creation tool.
The notes of the pressed chords automatically line up from lowest to highest, creating musical polyphonic patterns according to the beat moments in the seq window.
The circular note flow display is also fun.Parameter
- The speed of each chord note is variable
- You can change the beat of each chord note
- You can change the velocity of each chord note
- Variable note length
- Octave for each chord note
- Midi-in for chords (your fingers) :-).
- ReSync
- Seq Matrix
- randomization
- preset
- Built-in SineWave synth for check patterns
Additional features
- Added option to use MIDI-IN “FixVel./InVel.” button velocity in addition to the existing velocity knob.
-Added "Automatically set incoming MIDI notes to lowest blank line" option (NoteOrdered/NoteFirstIn buttons), in addition to automatic ordering from "Low to High".In this case, pushing up a note empties the corresponding line (no sorting algorithm is called).format

Installation
In the case of Win, since it is VST3, the installation is completed by extracting "TugMidiSeq.vst3" and "TugMidiSeqPresets.json" in the following VST3 folder.
C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ VST3
Usage in FL Studio
First of all, "TugMidiSeq" is a MIDI sequencer, so it needs a sound source to play sounds.
Here I used "Phase Plant" as the sound source.
Set "Input port" to "0" on the sound source side, and set "Output port" to "0" for "TugMidiSeq".
(The number does not have to be 0, but it must be the same number.)
Then enter the chord into the piano roll of "TugMidiSeq" and play it.
Summary
Much better than I expected.
You can easily create riffs that can be used in trance.
