Introducing Solinoid, inspired by Solcitomusica's Solina String Ensemble
Today we'd like to introduce Solinoid, which is inspired by Solcitomusica's Solina String Ensemble.
Lo-Fi sound is pretty good.
Sound demo
I tried playing the preset.
Overview
Solinoid is, a virtual vintage orchestra synthesizer inspired by the legendary Eminent/Arp Solina hardware synth (Solina, Arp and Eminent are trademarks of their respective owners).
Solinoid models orchestral instruments and other sounds through vintage analog architecture, always realizing them in a manner typical of the 1970s and 1980s.
Special attention was paid to the design of Ensemblex effects. We've added specific controls to the traditional ensemble model, expanding its sonic possibilities.
The goal of this VSTi is to create string ensembles in a vintage way. It harnesses the power of an old technology that, despite its limitations, continues to fascinate for years. Solinoid uses these resources to generate even more diverse sounds.
Another purpose is to show the spatial feeling of an ensemble effect, even though it is monophonic. Therefore, this VSTi has a mono output like the original evoked. You can also add stereo effects if you like.
Features
– 1 monophonic “Solo” oscillator.
– 1 polyphonic “Orchestra” oscillator.
– 1 LFO.
– 3 filters.
– Keyboard split function
– Ensemble chorus effect with vintage BBD emulation (“Bucket Brigade Device”, an electronic component for a delay/chorus device like an ensemble effect).
