Introducing CMP100 sampled from ElectronikSoundLab's FM sound source Philips PMC 100
Today we will be introducing CMP100, which was sampled from ElectronicikSoundLab's FM sound source Philips PMC 100.
About Philips PMC 100
The Philips PMC 100 was one of the early home music computers released by Philips in the late 1980s. The device was designed as a personal computer with music production capabilities and was specifically targeted at music lovers and novice music producers. The PMC 100 featured a built-in musical keyboard, a programmable drum machine, and a variety of music production tools.
This computer utilized specific music production software that allowed users to create, edit, and perform their own music. Music could be played through built-in speakers or an external sound system, and some models also had the ability to record to cassette tape.
The PMC 100 was a product long before the advent of modern digital audio workstations (DAWs) and music production software, and it had many advanced features for its time. However, advances in technology have led to the emergence of more advanced and versatile music production tools, so it is now primarily of interest among collectors and retro technology enthusiasts.
Sound demo
I tried playing the preset.
It has a good Lo-Fi feel.
I added drums and bass to make it Trap style.
