Introducing SlapAsSound's LSmalltown Boy
SlapAsSound has released a new, somewhat unusual sound source.
Previous articleplease use this form.
This time, I created a sound source by reproducing and sampling the tones of each part of the song Smalltown Boy's "Bronski Beat" using an analog synth.
MIDI is also included.
Click here for the original song.
This time it's pretty close to the original song.
Sound demo
There will be copyright issues if I send the MIDI data as is, so I won't do it this time.
There is no problem if you just use the sound source.

Installation
For Win, unzip the downloaded file and put "Bronski Beat – Smalltown Boy.instruments" and "Bronski Beat – Smalltown Boy.vst3" in the "Bronski Beat – Smalltown Boy_VST win" folder into the following folder.
C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ VST3
How to read MIDI files with FLSturio
The "Bronski Beat – Smalltown Boy_PROJECT" folder in the unzipped folder contains the Reaper project file (Bronski Beat – Smalltown Boy_REAPER PROJECT.rpp) and MIDI file (Bronski Beat – Smalltown Boy_MIDI MULTITRACK.mid).
This MIDI file is in format 1, so if you normally load it with FL Studio, all channels will be loaded into one track.
This MIDI file contains data for 10 tracks.
You need to repeat the process of starting and loading all separate sound sources.
First, load 10 “Bronski Beat – Smalltown Boy” files.
then from the topPiano rollOpen it and drag and drop your MIDI file.
The "Import MIDI data" dialog will appear, so click "2 pad".
Do this in order 9 more times.
(Select “2” for the second lead synth)
If you load a total of 10 tracks, it will look like the following.
The whole thing looks like this.
Next, open each sound source one by one and select the presets in turn.
I think "1 PR bell" is selected for the first one, so select the presets in order starting from the second one.
This completes the settings.
If you would like to add a cappella as well, a link to the a cappella and how to download it from Youtube is included in the "Laura Branigan – Self Control_LINKS" folder. (It's treated as a cappella, but it's fine if you're playing it as a hobby, but please be careful as uploading it to X or Youtube is illegal.)
