How to use built-in effects with Kontakt in Native Instruments
It's surprisingly difficult to understand, so I'll write it.
You often have a little effect with a free sound source, right?
But that doesn't make sense in most cases.
I'm just using Kontakt's built-in effects.
And you can insert and use the effects yourself, so you just have a GUI.
(Rather, the order cannot be changed and there are few options)
When you actually use the built-in effects, it looks like this.
For example, "LiTz – Electric Keys", which was distributed free of charge the other day, has a pedal effector displayed in the GUI, which is a bit cool, but the contents are ordinary Kontakt effects.
However, in the case of a paid library, the developer may select an effect that fits the sound source firmly and incorporate it on the GUI so that it can be modulated by an LFO or the like. (Output is particularly well-balanced in that area)
So, this time, I will explain how to use Kontakt's built-in effects.
Use built-in effects with Kontakt from Native Instruments
There are two main methods, but here we will introduce how to use the insert effect from a simple mixer.
First, load a suitable sound source.
If the mixer is not displayed, display the mixer.
Check "Outputs" from the icon at the top of the screen.
If the effect rack is not displayed, click the red frame in the figure below to display it.
By default, "st1" is the main out, so insert the effect here.
There are quite a few effects you can use, and the effects on the GUI can be ridiculous.
In particular, "Filter" has a wide variety of types, and the curves are visible and easy to understand.
Most of the effects also have presets, so it's easy to use.
And there are quite a lot of IRs in the "Convolution" preset of "Reverb", so please check it out as well.
There is a fair amount of IR in each category.
And you can also reverse.
Summary of how to use built-in effects with Kontakt of Native Instruments
Even with a free sound source, the sound changes completely depending on the effect, so I want to make good use of it.
