This is how to use YUM-Audio's Lo-Fi effect PITCH DROP OUT, which is also a purchase privilege of ADSR in December.
There are only a few parameters to use, so there is nothing difficult.
Therefore, I will send it with the contents like Tips.
If you use PITCH DROPOUT as it is, you can change the frequency of occurrence, but you cannot adjust the timing of pitch fluctuation.
Therefore, I will introduce how to set the timing of pitch fluctuation by yourself.
It is like this.
The effect is OFF at first and the effect is ON from the middle.
If you add drums and bass and hang a side chain, it looks like this.
How to set the pitch swing timing of PITCH DROP OUT by yourself
It's very easy to do.
All you have to do is automate the parameters.
The target parameter is "Dropout".
It is the red frame part in the figure below.
This parameter can be clicked to swing the pitch.
So you just have to automate this parameter.
It's an automation method in FL Studio, but this time I'll introduce it in a different way.
After clicking "Drop out"Click "TOOLS"-> "Last tweaked"-> "Create automation clop" in the menu.
This method allows you to create an automation clip of the last touched parameter.
This is probably faster than choosing from a list of parameters to create an automation clip.
I also prepared a video.
After that, if you prepare an automation clip in the following form and copy it, the pitch will fluctuate at the timing of the automation clip.
It is like this.
And if you like, you can increase the "Chance" parameter to add and randomly swing the pitch. (I don't think you'll get tired of having a little random elements)
Summary
"PITCH DROP OUT" is good.
The way the pitch sways is very natural, and I can't imitate it with automation.
If you like Lo-Fi, I would like to have it.
It goes well with pianos and guitars as well as synths.
