Introducing Voxengo's Stereo Correlation Meter Correlometer
Today is Voxengo's free plug-in that everyone loves.
There are many stereo correlation meters, but when it comes to multiband, I think they are rare.
I often see the following type that is also installed in the Ozone 9 Imager.
The more positive the vertical direction is, the more monaural the sound is.
In the case of the Correlometer, the top and bottom are the same, but the left and right are the frequencies.
Compatibility with monaural is lost as the value goes negative.
I compared the bases.
First of all, we changed it from a state close to mono to monaural, and confirmed that it is monaural compatible.
Then, the left and right phases are reversed, and finally monaural.
I think that you can confirm that there is almost no monaural compatibility (bass and midrange are hollow).
With the Correlometer, it's easy to see which side of the frequency is missing when it becomes monaural.
It also supports sidechain input, so you can use it with material recorded with multiple microphones.
