Introducing Stone Voices' sequence-based multi-effects Brandulator
Continuing from yesterday, I would like to introduce Stone Voices's plug-in.
Brandulator is a sequence-based multi-effects plug-in.
Please note that only Win is free and Mac version is requiredPatreonSubscription (minimum price is $ 5 / month).
I tried to ring it.
Overview
The freeware VST plug-in Brandulator is a complex sound processor that can produce very interesting complex effects – comb filters, transgates, vocoders, wah wahs, various types of modulation (chorus, flanger, phaser, ring, etc.). ..The work of this plug-in is based on splitting the original signal at regular intervals to match the tempo of the composition and applying a particular kind of processing to each.
To extend the capabilities of this plug-in, there are three separate sound processing channels with adjustable volume and pan, allowing you to create realistic stereo sound images. Each channel has 3 sets of modes / key controls called steps.Step parameters can be set individually or in groups. In addition, about 16 kinds of scales are registered in the plug-in database, and it can be done both manually and automatically according to the required harmony method.
System requirements
- Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, macOS 10.11 and later
- DAW that supports VST plug-ins
- Default web browser
Download
You can download it without registration.
Installation
When unzipped, it contains the "VST2" and "VST3" folders.
In the case of VST3, it is OK if you unzip it to the following folder and drag and drop the file that appears to the following folder.
C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ VST3
Summary
The disadvantage of plug-ins made with an analog sequencer in mind is that it is troublesome to adjust to the scale and prevent dissonance.
However, since Brandulator can specify scales and chords, I think it is quite excellent among the types that specify the scale with knobs.
Also, the number of presets is quite large, so it's fun just to change the presets.
