Requires Kontak Full version.

Rhythmic Robot AudioIntroducing Mr.'s free Kontakt sound source.

Rhythmic Robot AudioHas released a lot of Lo-Fi Kontakt sound sources, but there are also some free sound sources.

I thought it was free, but this is pretty good, so if you like Lo-Fi and have the Kotakt Full version, please give it a try.

It is necessary to create an account, but it is not so troublesome and I think that the effort is well worth it. (The sound is posted properly, so please check it.)

There are XNUMX free Kontakt sound sources (one is a trial version).

Especially recommended this time are NanoMod 7 and Commodore 64 Sessions Deluxe.

NanoMod 7 is a sound source that people who don't know how to make sounds should try it, and I think it will be fun to make various sounds easily.

NanoMod 7 – FREE

2021 08 06 14x14 21

NanoMod 7 is pretty good.

And NanoMod 7 was in the KVR Developer Challenge 2014.

KVR Developer Challenge 2021 is also being held, so if you don't know or haven't voted yet, please read the following article.

The envelope is particularly good and you can't fine-tune it, but just turning the knob will make it sound like a Mellotron or a Pluck.

Of course, this will save time for beginners, so I think it's a super good feature if you attach it to a synth as a simple edit version.
(I tried to see if I wanted it if it was paid, but it seems that there is nothing, hmm)

Moreover, pressing "GLITCH" will randomize the parameters, so you can get various variations just by doing this.

It is also highly evaluated that the sound that does not collapse is produced properly.

Overview

NanoMod 8-Bit puts the power of the NanoMod interface into the shiny, aliased glitterness of vintage 8-bit digital synthesizers. From scorching synth reeds to crunchy pads, 8-bit has the heaviness and muscles of a classic 80's polysynth at its core.

Wave 1 is a thick detune that combines two sawtooth waves and a PWM pulse to express movement and strength. It's a very rough and aggressive wave.

Wave 2 is a typical early digit synth waveform with Breath and Air components and a lot of high frequency noise. You can use this waveform to get a "airy pad" -like sound. Also, when combined with Wave 1, you can add luster to the vivid sawtooth sound.

Sound demo

There is an irresistible sound of Lo-Fi.

You can freely adjust the gritty and glaring sounds.

This ease of editing is a GUI that I really want ordinary synths to be equipped with for simple editing.

Commodore 64 Sessions Deluxe – FREE

2021 08 06 17x51 551

BPBIt seems that it is a Kontakt sound source made in collaboration with Mr.

If you like chiptune, please do not miss this quality for free.

Overview

This is the Commodore 64. Another computer, launched in the mid-1980s, was also well received in the audio field, thanks to its built-in SID chip. SID has gained cult popularity and reputation for pushing the boundaries of the possibilities of home computers at the time.Atari ST's built-in MIDI dominated the market for professional audio, but the C64 confronted the BBC B and Spectrum in the consumer and education fields, overwhelming them musically. Equipped with a SID chip, it has far more complicated and versatile functions than synthesizers of the same era, and it still reigns at the top among all the famous machines of all time among chip music lovers.

The BPB logo, The Commodore 64 Synthesizer Sessions Deluxe, is a unique collaboration between Rhythmic Robot and the Bedroom Producers' Blog. BPB operator Tomislav is an avid SID chip enthusiast and inspired by the annual KVR freeware contest, he has taken every step to sample a treasure trove of crunchy Commodore patches. I did. This library contains 30 patches and is sampled from three different versions of the Commodore 64 home computer. Mongo has coded and pushed Kontakt's UI to the forefront. The result is a small library of old-school lo-fi grit.

This library is collaborative, unlike regular products. All the other instruments are sampled by us here in the lab, but this time we made an exception because it's fun to work together in a freeware competition.

Sound demo

There is also a demo of this sound source, so I will post it.
(James Stringer)

There are 30 presets and there are many variations of sounds that can be edited.

PatchVault taster – FREE

2021 08 06 13x25 48

This is a trial version of the Patch Vault series.

There are few variations in the sound, but it can be used properly.

Most of the free Kontakt sound sources can not be operated by GUI, but Patch Vault taster can be edited firmly.

Overview

PatchVault is an ever-growing collection of patches from old synthesizers.Taking the original real sound from old hardware and wrapping it in a simple and powerful interface, Patch Vault makes it easy to get that sound.

The interface is designed for quick hands-on adjustment. You can also map MIDI velocities to amp and filter cutoffs for playable expressions that were rarely seen on the original hardware. It also has a limiter that emphasizes the sound with chorus and tube saturation, and suppresses enthusiastic analog waves. If you want to keep the original factory patch, you can easily turn off all the modern additions.

This is a free sample to give you an experience of how Patch Vault patches work in your mix. This is the first factory sound of Roland's super cool synthesizer Jupiter 6.If you like this sound,All Jupiter 6 sound setsPlease check.

Sound demo

Since it is a trial version, there is only one tone, so there are few variations that can be obtained.

PanaRhythm – FREE

2021 08 06 15x22 27

PanaRhythm contains one drum kit (kick, snare, hi-hat) and one octave of snare.

Overview

PanaRhythm is the result of sampling a strange little preset rhythm box from a car bootsale.I didn't expect much because it had only three sounds and worn-out patterns, but the result was a very powerful and unique snare sound. (The snare is played over an octave to give it pitch variation, and the sound is randomly round-robind to incorporate analog uncertainty into the tone. You can get a small snare machine for free.

Sound demo

I don't know if there is a use, but it makes a pleasant sound.

Doctor 33 – FREE

2021 08 06 17x31 32

It is a sound source (metronome) that reproduces Boss DB-33.

I thought it wouldn't be very useful, but I found an interesting video on Youtube.

Overview

Doctor 33 is a little mysterious work made by BOSS funky people. Unlike the big beatboxes like Doctor 55 and Doctor 110, Doctor 33 is a metronome, not a drum machine. It features four combinable onboard rhythms that tempo sync to your host DAW (these also include cool triplets). And we've added a "tone" control that provides a hard sound filter that resonates strongly with the metronome sound.Sweeping this control while the rhythm is playing has a strange and engaging effect, especially when layered on the right drum beats.

The percussive sound can be leveled and panned, and can be played with onboard rhythms as needed. Doctor 33 is a nice little box to add analog weirdness to your beat background.

Jacky – FREE

2021 08 06 21x26 36

It is a XNUMX sound XNUMX layer of kick, XNUMX types of snare, and hi-hat.

It's interesting in the story, but I can't personally find a place to use it as a sound.

Overview

Jacky was born out of a little misfortune in the studio. He wanted to buy a small transistor organ called Luxor Jacky that looked interesting and sample its sound and the rhythms it had.But tragically, at the end of the rhythm section, Jackie spewed smoke and made a sad sound. There was no hope of a resurrection. All that was left was the recorded rhythm, so I made it free.

Jacky consists of five transistor rhythms that can be combined. It's a warm, slightly hard tone with a bit of punch in the drive and compression controls. Also, individual drum hits are mapped so you can use them. These sounds don't dominate the whole track, but they go well with other sounds and create a vintage feel. And above all, it's free, of course.
