How to use FL Studio How to get started with Patcher
This is yosi from Chillout with Beats.
FL Studio PatcherWhat is it for people?
If you want to make a patch for Patcher yourself, I have written quite a lot of articles, so please use this tag.
This is a Google translation of the official explanation.
Patcher can be loaded as an instrument or effect, allowing you to combine both the instrument and the effect into a complete unit for reuse in other projects. For example, set your favorite instrument and effect chain. You can also add unlimited effects and instruments to a single channel or effect slot.Related plugins: Control Surface, Fruity Layer, Mini Host Modular.
In a wordIt is a plug-in that allows you to freely connect instruments and effects like a modular.
PatcherYou can do various things depending on your ideas, but I think it is important to try it first.
If you have never used it, please try it.
Try using Patcher presets
PatcherThere are also presets.
PatcherCan be inserted with either "Instrument" or "Effect".
And the preset is different depending on which one you start.
Launch Patcher from Instrument
In "Instrument", there are 7 presets as follows.
Let's take a quick look one by one.
Lyer Mor
Features
hamorIt is a thick base using 7 units.
You can control the tone by turning ON / OFF of "DIRTY", "REESE", "PLUCKED", and "WUB" on the GUI.
You can't enjoy the change of tone so much, but "DIRTY" is the strongest, so if you change the preset of Hamor with this label, the sound will change drastically.
It's quite buried, but please find it ...
Plucker
Features
It seems that Harmless is converting note information into code with two units and Key Mapper.
When C is entered, C, D #, and G will sound.
When you turn the "Key" knob, the "Base Key" of the Key Mapper changes, and the Key is changed.
If you use this method, can you use the same playing method even if you change the key quickly in a live performance?
Reezor
Features
It is one knob. When you turn it, the sound becomes thicker at once.
Karakuri is easy, and multiple parameters are assigned to this one knob.
I think this idea is useful for those who play live. You can change the sound in a complicated way with just one knob. (It looks like you're moving various knobs in a flashy way, and in fact, you can operate it with just one to make the audience excited ... Performance is important, isn't it?)
You need to work out the settings. As you can see from the contents, it is necessary to consider how much to move depending on the parameter and adjust it using Formula. (But it's easy because there are solid examples in this patch)
Split Kit
Features
ベースがC0~B2、ドラムがC3~C4まで、ARPがB4~B6、LEADがC7~B8、PADSがC9~B10に割り当てられています。使い道は微妙ですが、ライブ用として作るならありかと思います。
By using the Keyboard Splitter, the instrument that sounds in the scale is changed.
Vocatche
Features
To be honest, I'm not sure, but it seems to be Vocal Synth.
Looking insidehamorAnd Pitcher are used, hamorA voice-like sample is loaded in.
Since it is input and the MIDI note is also sent to Pitcher, it seems that the pitch is corrected here and the scale is output neatly.
Wobbler
Features
As you can guess from the name, it's like using Wobble bass.
I don't think this alone can be used very much, but I think it's good for live performances to be able to increase the LFO speed to 4 minutes or 8 minutes with the touch of a button.
In addition to this, I have written articles such as creating reverse delay using Patcher and creating analog delay, so please take a look if you like.
How to use FL Studio How to get started with Patcher Summary
To be honest, I used to think that I could use the presets as a whole, but when I take a closer look, it seems that they have prepared the materials necessary for making them as presets. I did.
I think Patcher will be a great tool for live performers.
