There are two modes, and you can switch between them with "Status" on the upper right.
When "On", you can layer up to 45 other instruments and the piano (fixed).
To change the tone, click "Source" to select it, and you can change, increase or decrease the tone of the layer.
To be honest, it's not easy to use.
My personal conclusion is that you don't have to force the download.
