FL Studio doesn't seem to distinguish between monaural and stereo, for better or for worse.

For today's DTM beginners, that's fine.

However, if you are using another DAW, you may be confused at first.

I don't know if the putt is monaural or stereo, but if you double-click the audio, you can see it in the red frame below.

The right side is the icon when it is monaural.

In this article, I will explain how to apply different effect processing to the left and right stereo tracks.

For example, it can be said that the sound image moves only when the sound is strong if the compression is applied separately to the left and right and the setting is changed slightly.

I think it was common in the analog era.

If it's digital, it fits perfectly, good or bad, so I think it's interesting to say that it's intentionally shifted.

How to apply different effects to the left and right stereo tracks in FL Studio

If you want to process the left and right separately, in the case of FL Studio, it is easier to understand that it is easier to use "Patcher".

How to do First, load Patcher into the mixer.

Next, load two "Fruity Stereo Shaper" into "Pather".

Open the first "Fruity Stereo Shaper" and click "Left-Right splitter" from the presets.

This preset is a preset that increases the output of "Fruity Stereo Shaper" and assigns "Send" to the left and right separately, but it is easier to prepare two, so I will go with the easier one.

Open the second "Fruity Stereo Shaper" and click "Left-Right splitter" from the presets as well.

Then change the settings as follows.
(The point is just to change the settings)

Only the two parameters in the red frame are changed.

I also prepared a video.

After that, you can assign different effects to the left and right, or change the settings a little with the same effect to create a stereo effect.

Finally, it is convenient to insert "Fruity Balance" etc. for volume adjustment.

Summary

I often hear that analog is three-dimensional, but I don't think that analog is a perfect match between left and right.

Therefore, I think that the sound image becomes wider due to some deviation.

However, if you overdo it, it may be uncomfortable, so I think it's a heavy weight.
