Last time, the effect was sober that "emphasize the attack of the synth", but this time I will explain how to get a slightly flashy effect.

Control the VST sound source with the Envelope Controller

Last time I controlled an external effect, but this time I control the sound source.

It is like this.

"Envelope Controller" is a very powerful tool for sound sources such as "Sylenth 1" where the envelope is controlled only by the knob.

However, there is no merit to use "Envelope Controller" for a sound source that originally has an excellent envelope such as "Serum".

How to control the filter of the sound source with "Envelope Controller"

Load "Patcher" as a sound source.

Next, load your favorite sound source and "Fruty Envelope Controller" in Patcher.

Here, we will explain using "Sylenth 1".

"Fruty Envelope Controller" settings

First, create an "Output" for the "Fruty Envelope Controller".

Right-click on "Fruty Envelope Controller" and click "Outputs"-> "Controllers"-> "1.Articulator 1".

Setting what to modulate

Right-click on the plug-in and select Inputs-> Parameters to select the parameter you want to modulate.

This time, we will control the Filter Cutoff of "Sylenth 1".

The targets are "43. Filter A Cutoff" and "49. Filter B Cutoff".

Whether or not to control both "A" and "B" may be a matter of taste.

A red ● will be created, so connect it.

After that, enter MIDI notes and change the "Envelope Controller" in various ways.

If you have trouble editing, there are presets, so please give them a try.

Click the red frame in the figure below of "Envelope Controller" and it is in "Presets".

How to use FL Studio How to use Envelope Controller XNUMX Summary

The combination of "Sylenth 1" and "Serum FX" was pretty good, but if you don't have "Serum", I think the combination of "Sylenth 1" and "Envelope Controller" is good.

Next time, I will do "LFO" of "Envelope Controller".
