Introducing Press Play's Brickwall Limiter Plugin Wave Breaker

Today, I would like to introduce Press Play's True Peak Limiter plug-in "Wave Breaker", which is nominated for KVR Developer Challenge 2023.

It's no exaggeration to say that every DAW comes with a limiter, but whether it's easy to use is another matter.

It is suitable for applications where you want to suppress the peak a little.

Wave Breaker is a true peak stereo limiter designed to provide a high level of transparency and immediate visual feedback for a seamless workflow. We've taken the Wave Observer design concept and waveform display engine to create a mixing and mastering tool for audio professionals and enthusiasts.

Main functions
transparency.Accurate true peak detection, look-ahead audio analysis, and a 4x oversampling processing architecture allow the natural character of audio content to be preserved even at high gain reduction values.
sound adjustment.You can tweak the limiter settings to bring out the character you want, or add saturation to handle peaks more aggressively.
Intuitive workflow.A large input signal display, gain reduction scope, true peak level meter and automatically zoomed output waveform make it easy to set all limiter parameters and visually evaluate the results in real time.

Gain Control Adjust the input gain to drive the limiter at your desired threshold level, and control the output gain using two different modes.Either manual correction mode or target peak level normalization can be selected.

Customization.Choose from a variety of color schemes and window sizes to suit your style and create your own workspace.

Installation

Since the installer is downloaded, it can be installed as it is by executing it.

Since Win supports VST2 and VST3, if you don't need VST2, uncheck it on the screen below.

After that, you can install it by following the flow.

Summary

The nominated plugins for KVR Developer Challenge 2023 are of a high level.

I think it's rare to find a free limiter with a gain reduction waveform.

I expect that this plugin will also be quite high.
