PolyMAX Synth sound demo

Although it is a simple sound source, the sound is quite good.

The sound is not harsh, but it is a sound that is easy to blend into the song.
(Analog modeling has its pros and cons, as the sound is thicker, but it may not blend in well with the music.)

A synthesizer sound source inspired by vintage synths that can play up to 8 notes simultaneously.

I tried playing the preset.

Overview of Pulsar Audio W495

Accurate emulation of the venerable 3-band EQ
Familiar vintage icons

The Neumann W495 EQ was used to master 1970% of records made from the 1990s to the 90s.However, even after this golden age, many mastering engineers still use this EQ.why? The W495 has a wide equalizing curve that allows you to push it to musical yet outrageous levels. The W495 easily provides tone shaping and character to individual tracks, adding presence and depth to enhance your overall mix.

To take Pulsar W495 one step further, Pulsar Audio has added features you'd expect from a modern plug-in.On-screen curve editor, auto gain, per-band mid/side selection, comprehensive digital metering, and more. From channel EQ to mastering EQ, the Pulsar W495 is a powerful, easy-to-use tone shaper that faithfully recreates the iconic 3-band EQ.

musical and easy to use

When it comes to workflow, the Pulsar w495 features an on-screen curve editor and spectrum analyzer to help you keep track of your EQ changes. The choice is yours: mix by ear, by eye, or both. The Pulsar w495 is an exact reproduction of the components of the original unit.Every aspect of the original unit is preserved in the plug-in version, from the subtle band saturation to the sound's unique output transformer. The high shelf band provides clear sound without muddiness, and the low shift band provides deep sound without muddiness. If your source lacks power, the midband is your go-to for boosting energy.

The Pulsar W495's mid/side selector for each band allows each band to operate as mid-only or side-only.

Removes energy from the midband, and the sides concentrate energy in the center of the stereo image.Low shelf Mid Boost boosts only the low range to the center. Push Sides-only transparent high shelves enhance the high end for a glossy stereo signal.

By cleverly leveraging the latest CPUs, the Pulsar W495 offers powerful audio algorithms while maintaining a lightweight footprint.A resizable interface, comprehensive metering to understand your signal, and a clever selection of modern features make the Pulsar W495 the EQ of choice.

What about the sound?

Mastering

Don't think too hard about it, just put it on the bus and listen to it.Versatile and musical, the W495 is an easy-to-use mastering equalizer. Quickly adjust mix balance by considering three bands.Even at extreme settings, it has the ability to widen the entire soundstage without ever being too harsh.

Synth

For electronic musicians, synthesizers are often the main instrument in production. But synthesizers can be so overwhelming that finding the right spectral balance to add them to a mix can be finicky. With the Pulsar W495, you can quickly and skillfully adjust this balance while keeping CPU consumption incredibly low.

Drum

Part of the W495's sound comes from the output transformer (Haufe RK 756), which provides subtle coloration to the lower end of the spectrum, especially with dynamic sources like drum busses. The Pulsar W495 makes it easy to add body to bass drums, enhance air to cymbals, and add color (and soften if needed) to the midrange. All in record time.

Features

Visual curve editing
The Curve Editor's controls correspond to the gain, frequency, and Q values of the hardware-style knobs below, allowing continuous selection of frequency, gain, and filter width.Keyboard modifiers allow you to quickly make the settings you need.

midside processing
Each band can be used for the entire stereo signal or can be switched to a single focus for operation: use only the Mid signal to process central information in mono, or use only the Side signal to process non-central information in stereo.

Oversampling
There are some things that can't be done with just a bell or shelf. Pulsar Audio adds a complex 6-pole tilt filter to adjust the tonal balance of your entire mix in an analog-style, natural way with a single knob.

Meter & Spectrum Analyzer
The Pulsar W495 features RMS, peak, and peak hold meters on both channels, giving you the convenience of digital insight. The spectrum analyzer can be operated in Fast or Slow mode for short- or medium-term spectrum visualization, and can also be set to Infinite mode for long-term integrated measurements.

shelf & bell filter
The Control Rack consists of three main sections that correspond to three different EQ bands: a low-shelf filter, a parametric bell filter, and a high-shelf filter. To ensure authenticity, controls can be set to a limited set of values in stages.

auto gain
Corrects the overall level change in the signal when it enters and exits the EQ.This feature eliminates the need to balance the signal after changes and ensures that the output level is close to the input level.

Presets from top producers
Pulsar Audio is fortunate to have the support and collaboration of countless talented engineers and producers. You can take full advantage of their expertise.
