Overview
This is yosi from Chillout with Beats.
Continuing from yesterday, this is an introduction of Euro Reakt's Block.
Please refer to the following article for how to add.
Euro Reakt – Free Edition
Since there are 18 blocks, we will pass through simple and unnecessary explanations, and pick up and introduce the ones that should be explained a little. (I skipped the ones that are not in the manual)
The parameter description is Google Translate of the manual. (The terrible translation has been corrected)
This time I'm just a little maniac, but depending on how I use it, it depends on my ideas.
1-Op Chaos
It is a noise generator.
It can be used to make hi-hats and snares.
Controls and terminals
CRACKLE: A reimplementation of SuperCollider's Crackle uGen. The 0-0.5 on CHAOS knob creates a comfortable hiss with color variations.High values introduce pops and clicks.
BAD CRACKLE: Failed to reimplement SuperCollider's Crackle uGen
(While I was learning Reaktor Core for the first time) 0-0.5 on the CHAOS knob creates a comfortable hiss with color variations.Higher values scream and mechanical noise.
IKEDA: Implementation of Ikeda Chaotic Map.High chaotic value, which makes it a chaotic attractor.Low chaos value provides stable vibration
LOGISTICS: A reimplementation of SuperCollider's Logistic uGen.Low frequency, which provides random step modulation. At high frequencies, this will produce a wild modem sound.
STANDARD: SuperCollider Standard N and Stan reimplementation. These uGens are based on a cylindrical area conservation map.Discovered by plasma physicist Boris Chirikov.Musically, it's a good chaotic oscillator to stay stable before it collapses.
For abnormal behavior. As a modulation source, it is also an audio rate noise source.
TENT: Chaos generator based on the tent map formula.Provides fairly stable triangular wave vibration.
Oct : X / Y: Most of the above chaos equations have a two-dimensional output.
For one-dimensional equations, the Y output is simply -X.
Rungler
You can create a random signal.
It can be used as an LFO or as a pitch. (Although it does not appear on the scale street)
Panel Controls
WRITE/LOOP: In WRITE mode, the contents of the shift register are affected.
Depends on the signal present at the data input. In LOOP mode, the register is locked.
This creates a loop sequence.
IN COMP: Set the data entry threshold. The signal is
When data entry exceeds this threshold, the active bit is set to true.
SCALE: Set the amplitude and polarity of the main output.
8-bit cipher
Although it is not mentioned in the manual, it seems to be quick to use it in order to use Gate Matrix effectively, so it is an introduction.
Put "GATE" of Clock in "CLK" and click "DATA" to start moving.
You can easily get a random signal by putting a Gate Matrix after this.
Also, if you connect the out from each bit, you can take out only a part of the random.
Gate Matrix
The gate matrix outputs 16 multiplexed variations.
I think it can be used when you want a random signal.
Controls and terminals
FREE/SYNC: In FREE mode, the output gate goes high immediately accordingly.
To the incoming gate. In SYNC mode, the output gate has a high sync gate.
SYNC: Manual trigger for synchronous input. When SYNC mode is active, the gate output is active only if the sync gate is high.
ON/ALL: One output gate at a time. In ALL mode, if (output OR input) is true, the output will be true. For example, if the input bit is 1, the outputs 0101, 0101, and 0100 are true.
Summary
It was a little difficult to understand this time at "1-Op Chaos".
However, it is certain that you can create a signal that you can never get with the initial block, so I think it depends on your idea.
What I think about using various thingsVCV RackIs overwhelmingly easier to use and understand.
For those who are about to start modularVCV RackIs recommended.
It may seem difficult to get started without a DAW, but in a way it's very simple.
Below isVCV RackIt is a summary page of how to use.
If I write another article about Reaktor BLOCKS,VCV RackI will write an article about.
(The learning cost is overwhelmingly lower for VCV Rack, isn't it?)
