I was going to write a Nepheton 2 sale article today, but XLN came out with something amazing, so I decided to prioritize that.

Recently, several AI-based rhythm plug-ins have come out, but after checking out the demos and videos, I personally don't think they're worth buying yet. (I felt that it was not at the level to replace XO)

However, XLN Audio released the AI-based rhythm generation plug-in Life.

I demoed it right away, and it's been a long time since I've seen a plug-in that excited me so much, and I was really impressed.

This wasn't in my plans at all, but I'm going to buy this.

Sound demo

It is not the type that generates sound with AI.

It seems that AI technology is used to slice the audio and generate the rhythm.

It also works in conjunction with a smartphone app.
(You can also use it without using the smartphone app)

The smartphone app allows you to record up to 15 seconds of sound.

The recorded sound is synchronized with Life via XLN's own cloud.

This is very smooth and stress-free.

Android,iPhoneIf both are supported, enter the code on the plugin side and it will be linked with the app.

I immediately installed the app on my iPhone and tried it out.

I recorded the sound my cat made after scratching on a piece of cardboard.

First, listen to the sound and the rhythm generated from it.

Because of my attachment to it, I can play with it as many times as I want.

Next, I tried playing the installed presets.

This is also great.

It's an era where you can easily change the rhythm and your sense of style speaks volumes.

Export can be specified in detail as mixed audio, STEM, or MIDI.

This area works similar to XO.

Rather, the overall UI is the same as XO, so I think XO users will be able to understand it intuitively.

I made a little video of the export process.

    Hello. This is NM.

I was so excited when the BF sale ended.
It's been playing a lot on X since yesterday, and I was curious about it.
It feels like it has more freedom than Loopmix. The prices are also quite different.
I'm wondering if I should choose this one over Liquidsonics because it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun to play.

Moog's sound is amazing, and Nephteon's evolution is normal... Even though BF is over... (2nd time)

      Good evening.

      Life is so amazing.
It has a different feel than Loopmix.
The pitch changes quite a bit with the XY pad, so it may be difficult to handle pitched sounds.
(There may be a parameter somewhere that fixes the pitch.)
      ->There it was.

I have already stopped using Liquidsonics this year!
I also have reverb from UA, so I'll do that next year.
(Actually, I bought an additional plugin that was quite detailed.)

I recorded some environmental sounds with my smartphone today, but when I started the plug-in, the recorded data was already there.
This really inspires me to create and is very moving.
      Please try the demo!
      I highly recommend it.
About 10 days?is fully usable and works with your smartphone.

No, really, there is no need to throw this away either.
However, when I tried the demo, the CPU load was quite high.
Since it is a monosynth, it can only produce single notes, but the CPU load is over 30%.
      This is better than Diva.

      Nephteon was also demoed.
It was a shame that there was no function to use Kick, which is often used in Trap, as a base.
However, it is very attractive that the range of sounds that can be obtained with the built-in effects is greatly expanded, and that there are a wide variety of patterns and presets.
Since the price of Upgres will not change, I will postpone it later.
Personally, Life is so shocking that I feel like I'm going to put off everything else.

    hello! It's NM.
I also demoed it right away. This is really interesting.
I try to record the sound of the train on my way home from work, and I play by banging on my desk.
What's great about it is that you can turn your smartphone into a recorder, have it go to the cloud, and start using it as soon as you launch your DAW, which is really easy and shocking. The threshold for using environmental sounds will be significantly lowered.

I bought it because it seemed to be different from loopmix when I used it lol.
I will also buy liquidsonics next year.I'll also be wrapping up this fall/winter with the Avenger upgrade.

      That's right! !
Actually, I think it was quite difficult to use environmental sounds even if they were recorded before.
(Moving and editing files is troublesome after all)

However, with Life, when you record and launch the plug-in, the file is there, sliced, and the beat is almost complete.
It's already the best, isn't it?

      That's right.
      It's different from Loopmix.
Life basically slices one file and arranges them, but Loopmix creates a new style from multiple loops, so you can use them differently.

      Oh, it was purchased!
I haven't bought it yet because there's still a demo period, but I've confirmed my purchase at this point.
Probably, but due to the issue of cloud maintenance costs, I don't think the price will come down significantly.
I also recommend Avenger as it has been updated to make it easier to create your own tones.
However, I would be happy if the yen appreciated a little more!
