Overview

This is yosi from Chillout with Beats.

Whether it's a VST synth or an effect, it's getting more and more.

I'm honestly in a chaotic state.I haven't used it, but I can delete it.

So I wondered if it could be managed by Excel.

Three reasons why I decided to manage with Excel

Plugins installed in bundles are chaotic

This is surprisingly annoying. For example, IK Multimedia.

Even if you buy one, you can put it all in.

Really annoying.I don't know which one I have.

It looks like the following. This is still a part.I'm also eating a lot of capacity.650MB in total.
To waste the capacity of your precious notebook PC ...

I want to delete everything.Activation is also troublesome.

That's what I hate this maker before the sound.
Let's uninstall it ... The purpose will change, so I will continue.

I put it in for free but forgot

Often, I installed it because I thought it would be nice to see it in News, but it hasn't been used even once.

It's been about 6 months since I started using Surface100, but the number of plugins has already exceeded XNUMX ...

In fact, when I looked at the VST folder to write this article, there were some plugins that I didn't use.

Unfortunately, good plugins are buried. It's all about this.

You can't tell what kind of plug-in it is just by looking at its name.

Why is it buried?

It means that you can hardly tell what kind of plug-in it is by just the name.

When looking for a plug-in, I don't really understand "lkjb_Luftikus_x64", so next!I will skip it.
(Actually, FL Studio has a proper way to manage plug-ins, so if you do that, the problem around here will be solved, but it's a little troublesome)

method

Listing in the VST folder

In order to manage it, you first need to list it.

The quick way is to use the command prompt.

How to start the command prompt.
(It should be in the program folder of C drive)

  1. Press the Windows key + r key
  2. Type cmd and press enter

This will open a command prompt.

Then open the folder that contains the VST plugin.

After opening the folder, copy the character string as shown below. (Right click copy)

After copying, type "cd" at the command prompt and press the spacebar once to insert a space.

Then right click. (This will paste the copied string)

I prepared a video. The Path (character string) to the VST folder has already been copied.

Next, you will get the list, so enter the following command.

Enter "dir * .dll / b" and press enter.

The list is now displayed.

If you select all of this list and press the enter key, it will be copied, so you can paste it in Excel or paste it in text etc. once.

In the current state, the subfolders in the VST folder are not listed.
It's a hassle, but do the same for subfolders to create a list.

I feel like this.

Summary

How is it?This completes the pre-management stage.

Now you can add explanations to Excel and you won't get lost.

However, the problem is that it is honestly troublesome how to manage the increasing VST.
