Use the recommended Osborne checklist when you have trouble developing songs

Have you heard of the Osborne Checklist Checklist?

Alex F. who devised brainstormingOsborneIt is a method of coming up with ideas.

The Osborne checklist applies to the following nine items to come up with ideas.

"Diversion" "Application" "Change" "Enlargement" "Reduction" "Substitution" "Reuse" "Reversal" "Combination"

I will actually try various things to see if it will be useful for songwriting without permission.

Each list will dig deeper with a separate article.
(I will add the method that I actually came up with while writing the article, etc.)

The point is, if you start with this article when you think you have an idea, I hope you can provide a hint to get an idea.

I will write it gradually, so please keep an eye on it.

I will explain using FL Studio as usual.
(I think you can do the same with other DAWs)

This is the site that I referred to the list.

"Put to other uses"

・ Try changing the sound source and effects
・ Try exchanging samples
・ Try transposing the code
・ Try changing the pitch

"Adapt"

・ Can you get an idea from a similar song?
・ Try to imitate the chord progression of an existing song

Modify

・ Try morphing
・ Try changing the arrangement
・ Try changing the sound source / effect
・ Try changing the chord progression

"Magnify"

・ Try to make it half speed
・ Try to strengthen the transient
・ Try slowing down the playback speed without changing the pitch

"Minify"

・ Try to double the speed
・ Try to weaken the transient
・ Try increasing the playback speed without changing the pitch.

"Substitute"

・ Is it possible to change the recording / sample to sample / recording?
・ Try changing the synth / live instrument part to a live instrument / synth
・ Try replacing the drum parts

"Rearrange"

・ Sampling and using your old songs
・ Try using the material recorded in the past

"Reverse"

・ Try playing in reverse
・ Try reversing the chord progression (up / down, front / back)

"Combine"

・ Try using samples from genres that you don't normally use at all.
・ Try layering the sound source

Recommended when you have trouble developing a song Summary of using Osborn's checklist

I think there are some overlaps, but since the purpose is to come up with ideas, I will not accept small details!

However, I would be grateful if you could provide information on ideas.
