Introducing Sinnah, a sound source that uses a synthesizer engine based on NUSofting's unique delay network.

Today I would like to introduce NUSofting's synth sound source Sinnah.

It uses a unique synth engine, so it's perfect for those who are tired of the subtractive method.

It is characterized by a brilliant sound.

The texture is nice.

Overview of Sinnah

Sinnah is a freeware VA synth plugin (*project) that uses a resonant delay network instead of a standard subtractive resonant filter.

Features

Sinnah is a synth based on a single complex oscillator containing 5 waveforms of increasing spectral complexity, harmonics level, noise level and delay matrix for all waveforms.
Delay matrices can be configured in a variety of ways, from a “triple chorus” per voice, to highly randomized resonators, or tuned relative to the notes played.
The delay matrix also allows for multiple slapback echoes.
The matrix's feedback control can range from zero to extremely saturated and is modulated by its own envelope.
The output of each voice is routed through a delay matrix and output in stereo, with a stereo spread knob.
The analog modeled ADSR envelope is loopable and can be repeated 2, 3, or continuously.
Envelopes can modulate waveshape selection and harmonic levels.
This synth has three filters: high pass, low pass, and band reject (notch), as well as a subtractive stereo filter that carves the sound spectrum like an equalizer. Band reject filters also have gain and bandwidth controls.
Also includes a convenient simple reverb.
The oscillator is anti-aliased, can be 8 voices or mono, and has octave and fine pitch control.
The GUI is fully vector-drawn, includes an oscilloscope and peak meter, and is resizable. There are also 8 different color schemes available to suit your mood and preference.

Enhanced ToolTip display provides information for each control on mouseover. So you don't have to read long manuals to find out what the knobs and sliders are for.
The preset system is cross-platform and the files use YAML format, making them easy to read and edit as needed. Additionally, preset names are compatible with international character sets.

Download Sinnah

You can download it without registration.

Go to the link above, check the appropriate OS, and click "Download Free" to start downloading.

Installing Sinnah

When you unzip the downloaded file, it is compressed for each OS, so unzip the compressed file for the appropriate OS.

For Win, there are versions with and without an installer.

Even with the installer version, you end up specifying the path yourself, so I think the version without installer (NUSofting_Sinnah_VST_1.2.1_Winx64[no_installer].zip) is fine.

Once unzipped, put the unzipped folder "Sinnah" into the VST2 folder.

Most VST2 folders are one of the following:

C:Program FilesVSTPlugIns
C \ Program Files \ Steinberg \ VST Plugins
C \ Program Files \ Steinberg \ Cubase \ VSTPlugins
C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ VST2
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\VST2
