SOUNY PRACTICE ROOM PIANO
Practice Room Piano is a piano that was abandoned in the practice room of the sixth form music department that I attended.I'm going to college soon, so I wanted to save it.There is a small grand piano in the corner of practice room 3 in my sixth form music wing, and the students who use that space are left largely untouched.
This room became the practice room for the brass band club, and the piano was turned into a table.While this saddens me, my recent discovery of the wonderful world of sampling and samplers has made me want to immortalize this piano for my personal use and the use of others. am.This sampled piano may not have the best audio quality, but I'm very excited because it's my first sampled instrument and I'm incredibly proud of it.I used the denoise plug-in, but background noise is noticeable at high volumes due to the hustle and bustle of the music department and the nearby roads and airport.I think this noise could have been reduced more, but it's poetically well-matched with the slightly out-of-tune, abandoned piano that I took a leave of absence from 6th grade to go to college and study music in 6th grade. , and when I leave behind forever the piano that I was the only one playing, I think I will enjoy the awe-inspiring feeling of remembering this piano.
The sampler has two presets, True Pedal and Normal. True Pedal is a sample of a piano with the sustain pedal depressed. I made a Normal version used for the default sample! I think the True Pedal is closer to the sound when the sustain pedal is stepped on.Instead, I used DecentSampler's built-in sustain pedal function for the default piano sample!I think the true pedal version sounds nicer, but the untuned top end makes it harder to work with.
The piano was recorded with two Rode M2 condenser mics connected to an Allen & Heath Zedi3.This instrument has 10 velocity layers and 3 round robins.The true pedal version, which adds a sample that activates when the sustain pedal is pressed, also has three velocity layers.
