Introducing he 88E powered by ImpactSoundworks' free KontaktPlayer
Today I would like to introduce the free KontaktPlayer Free The 88E from ImpactSoundworks.
KontaktPlayer 7 is very easy to use, so even if you have Kontakt 6, KontaktPlayer 7 is recommended.
The 88E is a rather unusual sound source that samples all 88 keys of a piano in E.
The making video is interesting, so please take a look.
It took two weeks for tuning.
Sound demo
I tried playing the preset.
Each note has its own presence, so I think it's easier to use single notes than chords.
Overview
Download and install
You need an ImpactSoundworks account to download.
Also, in order to use Kontakt 7, NI's account and "Native Access” installation is required.
Please create and install each in advance.
Go to the above link, enter "0" and click "ADD TO CART"
Click "CHECK OUT" at the bottom right
Click "Click here to login"
Check "I have read and ..." and click "PLACE ORDER"
Copy the code displayed in "Product Code".
Start "Native Access".
Click "Add Serial" at the bottom left
Paste the "Product Code" you copied earlier and click "Add Serial"
(Sometimes it shifts, so if you do it a few times, it will go well)
"Success" is displayed, so click "OK"
"The 88E" will be added, so clicking "Install" will automatically download and install.
After that, you can use it by opening it from Kontakt or Kontakt Player7.
Summary
It's a bit quirky, but it has a great presence.
Depending on the preset, there are quite a few effects, and sometimes the effects get in the way.
In such a case, you can turn on/off the effect from "Console" at the bottom of the GUI, so please try it.
