Another great free plugin has been released.
I've expected it before using it because it's Chowdhury DSP, but it's really wonderful.
It's definitely one of the top 2022 free plug-in effects in 5.
I wrote a usage article and a commentary on each module.
Overview
Build-Your-Own-Distortion (BYOD) is an audio plug-in that allows you to create custom guitar effects with a focus on guitar distortion. This plug-in features various guitar distortion and tone shaping circuit emulations, as well as other useful effects.
Download
You can download it without registration.
If you move from the above link and click the link of the corresponding OS, the download will start.
Since the installation is an installer, the basic default is fine.
If you don't like the extra files installed, you can just use VST and VST3.
The rest is whether to install "Standalon Plugin" if you like.
Points to note for FL Studio users
FL Studio users can use it with the following settings.
Enable "Make bridged" in "Option".
The only problem with FL Studio is that there is a problem with the screen and drawing part, and the screen is not updated correctly and something like an afterimage remains.
The following phenomenon seems to be a problem of Gravo.
It was fixed by enabling "Use OpenGL" in the gear icon at the bottom right of "BYOD".
Also, if IR is noisy when using modules, enable "Use fixed size buffers" as well.
Summary
Coincidentally, following yesterday, great plugins were released in quick succession.
I want to write an article on how to use this.
For the time being, I will write an article about EC-300 and write an article about BYOD.
