It's a bit confusing, so I'll write it first,OVox is paid ($ 29.99 on sale).
Introducing this timeAdditional free presets.
Waves' OVox presets are distributed for free, so I will explain how to download and add them.
There are 67 presets in all, so I tried playing them a little.
There are many sounds that can be used because it was created by an artist.
(There is also a preset that is supposed to be hung on drums, not vocals)
I think the great thing about this plugin is that it has no latency.
Since there is no latency, it can also be used for live performances and distribution.
How to download and add
Download
Downloading can be done without registration.
Go to the link above and click "Download 67 additional artist presets".
How to add
To add a preset, put the folder in "Waves OVox Artist Presets" inside into the following Path.
- Mac: Mac HD> Applications> Waves> Data> Presets> OVox Vocal ReSynthesis \ Artists
- Windows: C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Waves \ Data \ Presets \ OVox Vocal ReSynthesis \ Artists
However, if it is under "OVox Vocal ReSynthesis", it will be recognized automatically, so you can put it in an easy-to-understand folder.
Summary
I've used OVox for the first time in a while and it's good.
OVox also supports MIDI out, so I can do various things, but I didn't use it at all.
It seems interesting to operate other vocoders with MIDI out.
Give it a try and write an article if it looks good.
