Today I would like to introduce Socalabs' organ sound source ORGAN.

According to the officialOpen source setBfreeIt seems that the tone wheel organ is the base.

Although it is a simple GUI, it also has the function of a Leslie speaker.

I tried to ring it.

I added a drum.

The only unfortunate thing is that there are no presets.

I tried VST3 because it was VST2, but it wasn't included.

Overview

The outline isset B freeInformation.

DSP tonewheel organ emulator.

setBfree is a MIDI-controlled software synthesizer designed to mimic the sound and characteristics of the electromechanical organs and acoustic modifiers whose names and products have become world-famous for Laurens Hammond and Don Leslie.

setBfree is the "Tonewheel Organ Construction Kit", a physical model with over 1000 configurable parameters. You can adjust the "open" parameters like a real B3, from the mint 53 state (default) to the dusty tube 80's random state.

By default, setBfree expects two manuals (MIDI channels 2 and 1,2) and a pedal (MIDI channel 3).All controls can be dynamically bound to MIDI-CC messages as needed (includes default configuration files for common keyboards like the Kurzweil 2500 and Oxygen 61).

Interaction with the synth can be done via mouse / PC keyboard and MIDI.Communication is bidirectional. GUI updates are sent as feedback to MIDI output, and incoming MIDI messages update the GUI. The GUI is a good choice for quick visual feedback if a MIDI keyboard cannot be provided.

Acknowledgments
SetBfree is a huge project that has been going on for a long time. Fredrik Kilander started in 2003 as a fixed sample rate command line application under the name “Beatrix”. In 2012 Will Panther and Robin Gareus awakened the sleeping beauty.During that time, he has performed in many concerts, including the San Francisco Jazz Club, the Mass of the Church of Austin, and the concert of Philip Glass in Bratislava.

A big thank you to Julius O. Smith III and Jonathan Abel.Their "Digital Waveguide Modeling of Musical Instruments" and "Doppler simulation and the leslie" publications were integral to their modeling. Thanks to everyone for their ideas, bug reports, patches, and feedback. Dominique Michel, Fons Adriaensen, Jeremy Jongepier, Julien Claasen and Ken Restivo.

Summary

If you want to use an organ, this is a plug-in that you should definitely check out.

I think it's a pretty good one among the free ones.

There are quite a lot of other things on Socalabs's site.Free pluginIs open to the public, so please take a look.
