Phaser …… It is one of the plug-ins that I am not good at using honestly w
I also read PhaseMistress properly, but I didn't know how to use it at all.

I understand that it basically works in the direction of attenuation by changing the phase, but it sounds more shabby than when it is attenuated by a filter.
You can also get resonance with a phaser, but I think that it can be done with a filter, so I leave it alone.

There are complicated sounds in the presets, and I think that if you use them well, you can use them to make sounds (´ ・ ω ・ `).

      Thank you for your comment.

I think that the phaser is the sound that those who play the guitar and those who play the electric piano want.
      (Excellent compatibility with distortion guitar)

I studied a little before to write an article to reproduce with Patcher, but unlike the filter, I think that I decided the number of phases to shift by the number of stages.
Therefore, since it works in the basic attenuation direction, the sound will be cut too much unless it is a sound that spans a wide range of frequencies such as noise.
(It's pretty cool when applied to white noise, I feel like what it's used for, but w)

Once you use the free "EQ Curve Analyzer" to see how much the frequency is cut, it will be easier to get an image.
If you don't have it, I'll write an article so please do.

After that, it can be used as a means to spread the sound from side to side, and the sound does not disappear in monaural.

I agree. This was also written in the Phase Mistress manual.
In the case of Phase Mistress, the number of stages is the decay direction, and Res Mode is the resonance direction.
However, if you raise the resonance poorly, it will become difficult and it will be difficult to balance with other tracks, so I gave up and left it (´ ・ ω ・ `)

That's right. When it comes to that, if it's not enough, you'll have to increase the distortion, so maybe you may or may not like it.
Personally, I'm not good at so-called OTT sounds, and I like more beautiful and dirty sounds. (I'm saying something inconsistent, but forgive me)

This may be the most versatile use.
I will try when the way to spread the sound is one pattern (`・ ω ・ ´) ゞ

This is quite difficult, isn't it?
I also felt that raising the resonance was something different.
What I thought about now is that it's also a good idea to raise the resonance and hit it with a comp.

          I know something!
Personally, I like Lo-Fi, but not all of them are Lo-Fi, some of them are Lo-Fi, but others are in place.
I think that a perfect balance is important.
