It is a channel strip.
The difference between "Channel" and "Channel 2" is

Since "Channel 2" does not have a Limiter, it can be used without delay.
Channel overview
Channel combines gates, compressors, equalizers, limiters and "cleanup" filters, input / output gain controls, and level meters to provide a single plug-in for different mixing duties.
