PSP Impressor is an incredibly accurate, full-featured precision compressor designed to process entire mixes, busses, or single tracks. PSP Impressor emulates the magical classic characteristics of classic modern compressors as well as compressors with valves and optoelectronic circuits. PSP Impressor also features a highly configurable sidechain. The sidechain filter has a huge impact on the sound and behavior of your PSP Impressor. Depending on the sidechain filter settings, the compressor can also be used as a de-esser, or to reduce pumping effects such as heavy kick drums.

PSP Impressor is also very effective in combination with PSP Saturator. Placing a PSP Impressor in front of a PSP Saturator in the signal path (think of it like putting a bus compressor in front of a tape machine) creates a very cohesive mix, similar to that produced with expensive analog hardware. You can use both plugins at the same time (use subtle settings!) to give a certain sound. Of course, you can also reverse the order and place the PSP Saturator in front of the PSP Impressor!
