Introducing the EQ Classic OLD 2M, which can also be used as the cornerstone of PseudoStereo's summing mixer

I will continue to introduce PseudoStereo's plug-in today.

This time it's EQ Classic OLD 2M, which I think is also an EQ based on EMI TG12413 (TG12345 Curve Bender).
(Since it is not specified, it is an appearance judgment)

It also has quite original functions, such as PA's TMT.

TMT simulates the subtle differences between the left and right sides of an analog mixer, and can be used like a summing mixer.

It is said that mixing by applying different left and right nuances on each track gives the mix three-dimensionality.

This time, I made a video to show what kind of difference comes out with functions like this TMT.

Sound demo

Before the sound demo, let's take a look at the frequency response in the default state.

Quite different, isn't it?

I tried ringing in this state.

I think that it is easy to understand the difference because it sounds only the difference in the middle.

The point to note is the difference from the dry sound, so please be careful that the sound is not the added part.

The dry sound remains in the part smaller than dry, so it is remarkable.

In short, in this case, please understand that the sound that is ringing as a difference = the lost sound.

First, we will change functions such as TMT while looking at the frequency characteristics.

Since there is a random button, you can try various things just by pressing it appropriately, and you can also enter numbers.

I believe the range is from 0 to 24.

Also note that the same number will not be the same.
(matches if number 0)

To make it easier to understand, I started with the Gain moving.

Next, I will change it while listening to the sound.

First, the one with a large difference between the left and right is sounded.

I think that it is a level that can be understood by listening with headphones etc.

Pressing the GainMatch speaker button bypasses the EQ.

Each EQ band is boosted for clarity.

I think that the sound will be closer to the middle (especially the kick) when bypassed.

If you use it like a summing mixer, you can load EQ Classic OLD 2M into each mixer and change the channel part to make it slightly different and use it like a pseudo summing mixer.

Overview

An equalizer with fixed frequency and bandwidth values.Using switching combinations as “mini-presets” makes it easier to get the right tone.
The equalizer can operate in stereo, dual mono, center and side (Mid-Side) modes.By introducing a difference setting between channels, you can create a more surround feeling.Double-click to enter channels 1-24, 0 = select channels to be the same, or select randomly with the "RNDM" button. Also, the “Play” button can automatically switch channels randomly, eliminating static sounds and adding more vivid perception.
The LUFS Volume Meter gives you the orientation to get the right balance.

This will start the download.

Installation

When you unzip the downloaded file, VST2 version and VST3 version are stored.

Most people unzip the VST3 version (EQ Classic OLD 2M_v 1,03_WIN_VST3 x64 (Yuri Semenov).zip).

Put only the "EQ Classic OLD 2M" folder inside into the following VST3 folder.

C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ VST3

No presets this time.

Summary

Mr. PseudoStereo The GUI design and functionality are wonderful.

It's a pity that there is no website and the explanation of the functions is insufficient, but I think that it will be improved as the number of users increases.

I'm really looking forward to making a paid plug-in in the future.
