Introducing Mister Rogers' Celeste, a celesta for Cinesamples' free KontaktPlayer
Today I would like to introduce Mister Rogers' Celeste, a celesta sound source that can be used with KontaktPlayer.
celestaI didn't know that instrument, but there was a detailed explanation on the linked Yamaha site.
The celesta is a musical instrument invented by Auguste Mustel, an organ builder in Paris, France, about 130 years ago in 1886.It has a keyboard and resembles an organ in size and shape, but the sound is completely different.
Inside the celesta, metal tone plates resembling a glockenspiel are arranged musically. It is a percussion instrument with a keyboard action that produces sound by hitting it with a hammer.
This neighborhood is a place called Yamaha.
And Mister Rogers was an American children's television program called Mister Rogers' Neighborhood that was broadcast from 1968 to 2001.

You can see that a little celesta is used at the link destination.
For Americans, it seems to be a nostalgic sound that they saw when they were children.
You can hear the sound of the celesta by playing the linked "You're Growing" video.
(But Rogers has a nice voice~)

Overview
This beautiful celeste is famous for the sound of Trolley, the popular character from the TV show Mr. Roger's Neighbors, but it's more than just the sound of a character.Mr. Roger's celeste has a truly beautiful tone, and it is an instrument that has a deep tone, sound, and personality that comes from being used and loved for decades. This instrument, and this library, is an important part of music history and I am honored to preserve and care for it for posterity.

Summary
Is it nostalgic for Americans? It may have a similar effect, but if there is no background, I think it would be better to use it like a toy piano.
Once again, it's interesting that the sounds that react to different backgrounds are different.
