We will pick up some important updates and explain them in detail.

Added Randomize and Reset features for synths / effects (on request)

There is a mixer-like icon next to the preset and you can click here to randomize and reset it.

When you click it, the following dialog will be displayed and you can randomize it by selecting "Synth" or "Effects".

I tried randomizing "Synth", but it works quite well.

It may sound like it's gone bankrupt, but I think it's useful for coming up with ideas.

I tried it with "Effects", but there are many sounds that can be used again.

Changed Arp control to drop-down menu (on request)

I think it's the Arp control in the upper right.

I prepared a video.

Added pitch transpose control (+/- 6 semitones) (on request)

I think it means "TRANS" in "PITCH" of the "Synth" panel.

It can be changed with + -6 semitones.

It seems that the reason for using + -6 semitone is for operability.

If you raise it to + -12, some values cannot be selected due to the resolution of the knob.

I also prepared a video.

Add velocity to filter cutoff and amplifier (on request)

It is the place of "VELO" in the lower right.

You can make the filter cutoff and volume change in response to velocity.

2021 09 26 04x30 53

I prepared a video.

Added LFO Retrig button – This affects some older presets (on request)

This feature seems to work when BPM sync is On.

And if it's not because of your mind, it seems that the LED is off when it is on and on when it is off.

Retrigger is a function that resets the start position of the LFO when the DAW starts or when the note is turned on, but it seems that the GR-8 is designed to be reset only when the DAW starts.

The effect is easier to understand when "RATE" is lowered.

In the video below, the sound at the start of the DAW changes when retrigger OFF (when lit).

When Retrigger On (when turned off), the sound at the start of the DAW will be the same.

Summary

It's perfect that it's free, light and easy to use.

I think it's great that synths are equipped with various synth engines, but I think it's also very important that they are easy to use and simple.

I haven't announced anything yet, but I'm very interested in what the paid synths he makes will look like.

If there is any new movement, I will introduce it in this blog.
