How to loop a part of a sample with Maschine and play it on the keyboard
This is yosi from Chillout with Beats.
For the time being, Native Instruments' MaschineTruTrials I will go deeper and accumulate ideas.
TruTrials The video is only a few minutes short, so it's good to use it as a reference, but for Maschine beginners, it's only in English, so I think it's a little difficult. (I also looked back many times, and I wondered if I would do this many times ...)
laterTruTrialsI will try using this method in my own way, make trial and error, and record the results on my blog.
SCREWED VOCAL CHOPS
This is the story this time.
In short, let's loop a part of the sample so that it can be played on the keyboard!I think.
I don't think you can understand it even if you explain it in words, so please watch the video.
How to loop a part of a sample with Maschine and play it with the keyboard
- Activate loop
- Choose “Legate” and activate “Glide”
- Play Melody
It looked easy, but when I tried it, I suddenly stumbled.
First, the place to enable the first "Loop".Where? It feels like.
1. Load the sample
Load a suitable sample. (Because it is shortened, you can go pretty much anything)
If it is loaded as "Audio" at this time, change it to "Sampler".
2. Open the Zone tab and activate Loop
Open the Zone tab and activate Loop. Set the loop as appropriate from the "Edit" tab.
3. Change the envelope type to ADSR
By default, the envelope type will play once for each key press in OneShot and end.
To loop, set the envelope type to "ADSR".
3. Set the root key
If it is left as it is, the root key is almost wrong, so correct it.
(I don't want G4 to ring when I play C4)
A free VST tuner is a quick way to fix it.
I used GTune It is recommended because it supports both 32bit / 64bit.
Adjusting the “Root Key” will play C so that the tuner will display C.
(The point is that the tuner should display C when you play C)

This is what I typed in properly. If you can change the speed and pitch of the loop without changing it, you can make a wobble base.
After that, I added the built-in Fx.
The added effects are Comp and Freq Shfter
At the end, I added rhythm and pad-like things and played with side chains.
FL sidechain is a hassle, but Maschine is easy and good.
pad is Massive's "That Moment" patch
