[Free] How to know BPM from sample files

I'm yosi, the caretaker of Chillout with Beats.

I remember having a hard time not knowing this in the past, but if I knew it, nothing would happen.

I think I didn't understand after doing various stupid things.

There are two main types.

・ How to use BPM Analyzer
・ How to use Tap tool

How to use BPM Analyzer

Use an external tool called BPM Analyzer.

If you use this, you can easily find the BPM with a good degree of accuracy.

It is a nice place to support both Win and Mac.

How to use BPM Analyzer

It's easy to use, just drag and drop the sample you want to know the BPM.

It also supports dragging multiple files.

As you can see from the GIF video below, it seems that the accuracy may sometimes decrease due to the influence of the length of the sample.

How to use the Tap tool

For FL Studio

We will also show you how to use the standard FL Studio Tap.

Right-click on the tempo and click "TAP".

"Tempo tapper" is displayed.

I actually tried it.Just click the mouse to the rhythm.

For other DAWs

In the case of other DAWs, it seems that some are included as standard.

In the case of Studio One, there was an explanation in "Notes on how to use Studio One" who is indebted to me on Twitter.

For VST

There seems to be a VST called Tapped BPM calculated, but it seems to be Win32bit only.

For web apps

I would like to introduce a Japanese person who has created a web application.

It works on your smartphone, so you don't need a PC at hand.

In addition to this, it seems that this site also distributes free Kontakt sound sources of Japanese musical instruments.

[Free] Summary of how to know BPM from sample files

I think it's not uncommon for DAWs to automatically identify other items, but it's useful to know various methods.

In particular, web applications can be operated from smartphones, so it is convenient because you can see them without a PC.
