[75% OFF] AudioThing Type B, which is a plug-in of that exciter, is on sale (until 4/1)

I've been aiming for it before this, but I didn't buy it because it was a little expensive.

As a result of purchase, it is highly recommended for Lo-Fi lovers.

What's goodRX950You can make up for the sacrificed high.

RX950You can make it feel rough, but it will cut the high quite a bit.
(I think that shaving the high and the rough feeling are different problems)

Also, if you buy this, you will be issued a coupon code that allows you to purchase "Type A" cheaply (about 1,900 yen) officially.

And if the coupon code of 40% OFF is displayed, you can use it and it will be even cheaper.
(I'm not sure, so I'll write it secretly.)

Overview

“Type B” is a plug-in inspired by the famous vintage exciter effects.

The original unit was designed to add presence and brightness to vocal and instrument tracks. It was often used to improve dull recordings where treble was missing due to tape overdubbing.

Type B gives you more control over the emulation of the exciter circuit, giving you access to internal filters, harmonic generators, and more.

What is the effect?
Expensive exciter
The original algorithm for Oral Exciter was developed by Aphex Systems in the mid-1970s.

Initially, it was only used for rent at recording studios (in 1975, it cost $ 1 per minute of completed recording time). After that, due to its popularity, commercial models such as Type B and Type C were released.

process
The exciter combines a filter and distortion (harmonic generator) to produce high frequency components not found in the original signal.

The input signal is input to the harmonic generator via a filter (usually a high pass, but with type B a band pass is also available). The harmonics generated can be controlled by color parameters. The generated signal is mixed again with the dry signal.

Other features
You can show or hide the drop-down panel by clicking the arrow icon at the bottom left of the interface. You can access:

Filter control: Mode (pre / post), type (high pass, band pass), slope (12 / 24dB), emphasis
Additional options: direct signal, wet boost, background noise
